The man is Truly one of the musical geniuses of our time. Unless you have done 1/1000th equal of his MASSIVE portfolio. You have no room to say anything negative about his musicianship. He simply raised the bar in the late 80's and he has never looked back. He trours like a pitt bull! He is consistant. He writes his material not just pulling it out of his ass. Yett! He can improvise! I belive not since Jimmi Hendrix have we seen such a talent. The only one close is John petrucci.

Yes, Joe Satriani's sound is MUCH more mature than Vai. Both are insane gutiarists, but Vai has more of a video game sound. Take that song he wrote for Orianthi. Great song, but it sounds ilke it's straight out of Super Mario. Satriani has some OOMPH in his guitar.
