And the Vatican declared him a Saint because miracles happened through his intercession, after his death. The Church always examines these miracles in great detail, to make sure they can't be explained another way. And doctors and psychiatrists help too.

@MrJonasx44 This is due to the fact that in prayer we are 'open to grace' acting in us, thus in order for Gods light to penetrate our depths we need to open the inner doors and windows, in this sense prayer is needed - for the Divine will to be completed. Its also like saying the Host needs the Guest for the Dinner that was prepared to be made complete. God Bless

@dayo1075 the Church is the largest charitable organization on the planet and the pope hardly makes millions, and as our savior said, (paraphrase) there will always be poor people, i heard that something like 1% of the world military budgets would cure world hunger, wouldn't that be more productive!
