  • OK? This is Volume 1. The WAR started in 1914,not 1916 with the now famous Fokker DR7,the first were mono-wing (that's single wing) aircraft. The rules of engagement were written in 1915 by a 15 year old German ACE. When I was a young man I spoke with a German Pilot who's job it was to take photos of enemy lines,and supplies. He had to buy his own plane,and provide protection for it. It ran on petrol&castor oil.He was once chased by a English Pilot,he dove left,and the other plain lost it's wing
