@thelpfen Odd, I can play Clear Sky just fine, the latest patch ironed out most of the bugs for me, there's also a community made patch or mod which fixes even more bugs but I didn't need it. Also the mods out for it at the moment are very good and impressive. Alot of people hate this game because it's not like Shadow of Chernobyl like they expected, but it's still a great Stalker title non the less.

someone help me. i tucked at garbage where i have to find information about the digger or whatever a strange human-like thing with long tongue attacked me it moves so fast (i haven't played the first game) anybody knows which gun that can kill him with some rounds? i'm sure my ak can't and als can i upgrade my carrying capacity from 50.0 Kgs max into 60 or 75 (i know i looks retarded with this question but some1 help)
Clear sky will go back to desktop for me with a bug report, but the bug report wont send, i've managed to avoid this bug by going to the main execute icon, and the game works good now, just the enemy AI and their grenade and deadly accuracy pisses me off.
the bug troubles some times like 40% of them is caused by a bad reading of the GPU.. some times for overheat and/or overclock... this is the result... the other % is a game trouble, but they usually crash your game
Honestly nothing like that happened to me. I only had scripts problem witch was fucking annoying coz' I had to start the game twice :( Now when I learned that I taking much more pleasure from the game. I'm also not a very big fun of mods to games, but well made mod is a treasure. You can check what I made of from few well known mods in my movie.
guys i was the same i installed this game thinkin it would run as well as SOC. but with the 1.5.0.8 patch it hasnt crashed on me.. runs pretty much smoothly and prolly only found 1 or 2 minor bugs in the game.. give it another try.. the only thing i need on the game is more fuckin money :(:(

I like the fact that you can go up to the Freedom base, blow most of them away, take their guns (and sell them to Duty) then comeback and still be able to trade with Freedom when they respawn ("Hey Buddy!") and not have your stalker group relationship rating really affected
Well i finished the game once and realised that there is no sence going throught main quests, becouse its more interesting to me to fing those artifacts, upgrade weapons, and other shit like this then just doing the storyline, becouse if you finish the game you cant continue playing it..
Those aren't major bugs, but still, having enemies that do shit all when you shoot at them sucks.

0:50, watch the movie-like trailer from the heli for the sotc, it's in my favourites, I think it's the first one, or just search for it, there are monsters chasing a stalker there, which , some of them, run exactly the same way.
i have patch 1.5.05 installed, have gotten to the red forest and army warehouses, yet each time i try to save my game, or move to another area (i assume its the game saving, causing this), it crashes to desktop.
i also have a prob with my main quest now going back to a quest i already completed hours ago, in yantar.
this game is really fucking broken, but its also very good, and i would like to finish, just because of the time a have put in

GSC's updates are only to fuck the game up even more. they sould stop making games and sell the Stalker license to some serious company like Crytek or Bethesda.

crysis was good (not great, like far cry), until you got to the ridiculous alien ship, then when you came out, it just got worse. worst shooter i have played since doom3. at least after the aliens show up, anyway.

Bullshit. Even with the latest patch 1.5.04 I have had to start over twice after playing for about 4-5 hours because it decides to randomly crash at any given point. And its as if every second time I execute the program I get a blue screen.
I have bought the retail copy, and in AUS our games are more expensive.
I played the game and only saw one glitch... it's only buggy if you intentionaly look for bugs, I can find you twice as many bugs in any other game if you want... just play the game and enjoy the atmospheare, don't stop and analyze every little thing that doesn't look right.
Feels like they dont play the game before they sell it. I love the game to death...but there are WAY too many crash-to-desktop bugs for anyone to miss. Its a beta-game, thus why its 40$ US.
The stalker makers had to keep up traditions too , so some traders and people wont keep theyr mouth shut and bomb you with thousand comments per second :D

Yea, the russian that is already out on torrents is a sea bugs. And you can call this an expansion pack, more than an actual game, it's just better graphics, new missions, new environments maybe new weapons, but the sounds and gameplay is the same. They should work more on this, a year would make this game good.
I agree with you completely. The game feels half-baked but... considering the time they put all of this together, it feels like an impressive achievement. However, I would rather prefer if they spent another year on this, ultimately putting together the dream game both the developers and players wanted in the start. The STALKER universe has so much potential, but if they continue to give a half-finished product each time, it will be a loss to everyone.

I will most likely buy this. I'm well aware of how buggy it is but I remember the first, and now with fan mods like Inferno and Oblivion Lost, they're very stable and a great deal of fun.
I imagine the vanilla game is going to be buggy, but at least playable, then when the patches and mods turn up, I'll be playing it again.
their whole problem with these bug is with the world respawn system
it's so fucked up that when load or quick load a saved game in the middle of some scripted animation, fight's with other factions, everything seems to be reset, the AI path seems to be reset
i started a mission with a faction to attack another one... i died in the fight, Quick Load, everthing was reset. the AI's were all freezed,some were blocked behind trees etc.
but hey! despite all this trash bugs, the game ROCKS!:P
Unfortunately it's hard to see in the video, but the area was divided by a building in the middle. I don't know if this was due to poor level design, but the two groups on each side had no way of meeting each other. So it was weird to see from my point of view him being focused on a group he had no access to. I should have posted more footage, but he remained in one spot even if I attacked him.
I lol at soldiers! When you shoot them even from assault rifle, they don't pay attention and walk around. :D

You know you can easily edit the files yourself and long as you use the unpacker.
The trader files are very easy. Its best to give trader.generic all the good stuff since this deals with most stalkers in the game.

I did try and pirate this game, but ironically the copy protection made cracking it difficult, so i ended up purchasing it instead.
Piracy really is the solution to piss poor games. It'll either:
Force the developers into making an effort for that heavy pricetag they slam on titles.
Or, the PC platform will die out; if you buy a PS3 or 360 (media hubs) you are funding this exact cause.

no, hes right; crysis and oblivion are a shit.
crysis was good (not great, like far cry), until you got to the ridiculous alien ship, then when you came out, it just got worse. worst shooter i have played since doom3. at least after the aliens show up, anyway.
im just not a fan of RPG's, so thats why i dont like oblivion, too much walking around, doing nothing.
maybe fallout 3 will be good, it depends on how silly that VATS thing is, as opposed to actual shooting

Bullshit. Even with the latest patch 1.5.04 I have had to start over twice after playing for about 4-5 hours because it decides to randomly crash at any given point. And its as if every second time I execute the program I get a blue screen.
I have bought the retail copy, and in AUS our games are more expensive.

I played the game and only saw one glitch... it's only buggy if you intentionaly look for bugs, I can find you twice as many bugs in any other game if you want... just play the game and enjoy the atmospheare, don't stop and analyze every little thing that doesn't look right.

Feels like they dont play the game before they sell it. I love the game to death...but there are WAY too many crash-to-desktop bugs for anyone to miss. Its a beta-game, thus why its 40$ US.

The best of all the bugs is still a group of stalkers staring a wall , hoping that something will magically pop out of it.Of maybe theyr checking if the wall textures are as good as expected ? :D

At 1st I was like no, I won't buy it, lots of bugs and that stuff. But I couldn't resist, stalker 1 is my favourite game, and I fucking bought it. Wanna know what? Screw you with all this bullshit about bugs, I haven't seen any of em yet, and more than that, the game is AWESOME, better than the first one for sure.

Yea, the russian that is already out on torrents is a sea bugs. And you can call this an expansion pack, more than an actual game, it's just better graphics, new missions, new environments maybe new weapons, but the sounds and gameplay is the same. They should work more on this, a year would make this game good.

I agree with you completely. The game feels half-baked but... considering the time they put all of this together, it feels like an impressive achievement. However, I would rather prefer if they spent another year on this, ultimately putting together the dream game both the developers and players wanted in the start. The STALKER universe has so much potential, but if they continue to give a half-finished product each time, it will be a loss to everyone.

The ending is hilarious, nice video.
I will most likely buy this. I'm well aware of how buggy it is but I remember the first, and now with fan mods like Inferno and Oblivion Lost, they're very stable and a great deal of fun.
I imagine the vanilla game is going to be buggy, but at least playable, then when the patches and mods turn up, I'll be playing it again.

their whole problem with these bug is with the world respawn system
it's so fucked up that when load or quick load a saved game in the middle of some scripted animation, fight's with other factions, everything seems to be reset, the AI path seems to be reset
i started a mission with a faction to attack another one... i died in the fight, Quick Load, everthing was reset. the AI's were all freezed,some were blocked behind trees etc.
but hey! despite all this trash bugs, the game ROCKS!:P

Unfortunately it's hard to see in the video, but the area was divided by a building in the middle. I don't know if this was due to poor level design, but the two groups on each side had no way of meeting each other. So it was weird to see from my point of view him being focused on a group he had no access to. I should have posted more footage, but he remained in one spot even if I attacked him.
