i've had all 3 books for 13 years, never read thm. i got a beagle in May & JUST thought to read it! its been a day & im almost done reading it X) what was this movie: a crazy guy that has a job as a clown abuses his dogs and a boy finds the dog and eventually keeps the dog and goes to court and everybody sits outside in the yard around the dog, the clown has a newspaper and the dog starts going toward him, but end up going to the kid calling his name.

when i was lil (7yrs old) I wanted a beagle so bad after seeing this movie, i was determined that one day i would have a beagle of my own... so back in 2006 (10yrs later) I looked all over on line for a beagle to buy, i had a job that was paying pretty good. A yr later i had finally convinced my parents to let me get a beagle, and sure enough April 2007, i got my wish. Not only did i get a beagle, i ended up with 2 of them. I LOve them to death :)

Lovely story. But I have a beagle and they don't follow you around like Shiloh does to Marty, they follow their noses. I had my beagle pup less than 24 hours before I made the decision to microchip him lol.

This movie and book that inspired it is complete and utter BULLSHIT! Do they really expect anyone with at least a C grade intelligence to believe that some drunken redneck suddenly grows a concious watching a kid care about the dog he abused. If the kid really wanted to save Shiloh, he would have snuck into the guy's house and blown the bastard's brain out with his own shotgun. Presto, problem solved. The world wouldn't miss one useless drunk inbred redneck. It would actually be better off.
