They don't make them because no one outside America would give them a second glance. Americans have to realise, the rest of the world doesn't like your favoured sports. Football (what you call 'Soccer') is the biggest game in the world....and would sell much better worldwide. Not that it would interest Americans....as it is just a game for schoolgirls there (funnily enough, English schoolgirls play something very similar to Baseball....called Rounders). Tennis sells worldwide.

If you listen in on 3: 27, he explains the gameplay issues that arise from having single-acting, small characters racing individually on the track. Collisions and controls would seem unusual, having a much smaller body and running on foot as opposed to having the larger body of the car traveling on 4 wheels.

Characters on foot would handle much differently than their vehicle-mounting counterparts, so the safest idea was to just stick everyone in cars.

Sonic Unleashed is normal. I don't see any mental deficiancies within it. I don't see mindfucks. And Sonic does look like his normal design. And in your interpretation of normal, Sonic 3 is hella more normal than SA2, since it's closer to the original game.

Yes, that's good. All I have is a Wii and DS to play it on... except it may bug me since the graphics won't be as great as the 360 or PS3 version. Hopefully it'll still look decent on the Wii.
