Hey, I'm doing this right now and I'm playing the part of Edmund. I am kind of overwhelmed because he has a ton of lines. Any suggestions on memorizing lines and playing the part in general?
@stormaphobia it's not stereotypocal it's a proper English accent and there are many dialects to accents. The one they are using is the one that audiences expect. Stereotypes come from someplace and you need to cater to the audience when you do theatre. Stereotypes are a valois part of theatre whether you like it or not.
Good for you! I hope you have a lot of fun. what part are you playing??? What I meant was in the original "Chronicles of Narnia" books, and the movies, Digory is just a strange man they were forced to stay with because of the air raids.
this is a great performance of the song. i am currently playing the prof/father christmas. best role eva i get second graders as elfs lol. this prof is really helping with my performance he did a fantastic job great voice
"Marbelton Maron that grand mosoleam (haha oops) hold more birk-a-brack that the British measueam!" (wow i cannot spell today lol) This was my fav song when we did this. my friend and I sang back stage in the green room every timethese 5 sung!
ur playing edmund? i LOVE edmund like u wouldnt believe it. i so wish he were a real person. i had a dream about being edmund twice and im a girl! and a very girly girl too. can u show me some clips when ur done?
Now, I have a lot of respect for the actor who played Edmund. that is a difficult part to play and he nailed it! Lucy was also great at being the sweet and inquisitive sister. her singing was excelent and you could tell that she really became Lucy. Also, Peter did axcellent, and Susan did amazing! However for me the one that really sone in this song was the professer. he sung superbly and his acting was flawless. All in all..PHENOMINAL! (I didn't have enough room to give Petr/Susn their due :( :(
I have watched multiple of your vids from this show and this looks like a fantastic production!
I have done the show to and I know it can be a VERY HARD show to pull off but it looks like you guys did it very well! WIsh i could have seen it live!
Oh my God, I never noticed how Lucy pushes Susan as she ran inside that wardrobe! LOL That is hilarious! And Susan motions to Lucy to stay put, but Lucy runs over and follows her through the door anyway. And then Susan pushes her away when Lucy runs back to the other side of the stage. XD Wow, Lucy provides a lot of the comic antics, doesn't she?
it was good but lucy lost a bit of her power when she said " shadow and fiath". all in all it was very well done though. the PRofesor is awsome. he plays the part well and has a great voice. why is lucy so atll? that makes it lose a bit. but you guys are still the best narnia i can find here on YouTube. keep doing great!:D
Thank you for the compliments! Lucy grew a bit from casting to the show :) The actor playing the Professor was also Ugly in Honk, should you want to see more of his performances.
Oh, I know who singindancinfool played. She was...the wardrobe. That's right, folks. The one and only singindancinfool played the wardrobe which, as you all know, is a vital role in the musical. ;)
Aw, well that would have been funny, too. Good thing the costume change from Macready to Mrs. Beaver is simple, eh? Dang, I wish I could see this, but my small town doesn't perform local musicals like this, not even at the schools. :(
Oh, I love how Edmund says, "I don't care!" Pretty cool how some of the actors use their own British accent.

My school tried to put this musical on...was a total disaster. This was really good!
weddingsinger5 3 years ago
LOL, the stage term for "total disaster" is "fiasco".
blahblahblahblah22 3 years ago
in that case...my school's performance was a 'MAJOR FIASCO' lol.
weddingsinger5 3 years ago
haha, I'll be the judge of that. is it on here? I have never actually seen a fiasco, they're pretty rare. What was so bad about it?

that's really cool. out of curiosity, how old is he? and (not to be rude). what part do yo play in all of theese?
broadwaydude2378 3 years ago
In this show I think he was 19.
singindancinfool 3 years ago
cool! once agian, are you in these plays? if so what do you play?
broadwaydude2378 3 years ago
Aw, Lucy reached a growth spurt. XD

LOL Mrs. Macready was behind one of the doors, so Lucy quickly shut it! XD rofl
BearGirl26 4 years ago
The original idea was for her to be in a bathrobe or something, but we couldn't make the costume change happen.

Aw, well that would have been funny, too. Good thing the costume change from Macready to Mrs. Beaver is simple, eh? Dang, I wish I could see this, but my small town doesn't perform local musicals like this, not even at the schools. :(

BearGirl26 4 years ago
Our Macready was a member of the cruelie chorus, Mrs. Beaver was played by another actress.
singindancinfool 4 years ago
Oh, sorry, I just thought they were the same since they were nearly identical dresses. O.O My bad.
BearGirl26 4 years ago
No worries. The Professor is double cast as Father Christmas if you caught that one.
singindancinfool 4 years ago
Yeah, I think I noticed that. Pretty cool how they made a young man look like an old man with just a wig and such. ^_^
BearGirl26 4 years ago
Yeah as the Professor he had aging make-up and white spray in his hair, and as Father Christmas he had the big wig and beard combo.
singindancinfool 4 years ago
Pretty cool. *sigh* If only my hillbilly little Kentucky town had a local community children's theatre. T_T
