The ice cream business is highly competitive. When a vendor loads up, all his competitors see his prices. This can lead to much throat cutting if they know you have a good route. Also a vendor can have 2 or 3 different routes and not charge the same prices in each due to the economics of the area. It's up to the customer to know the prices.
I agree it looks bad but things are not always what they appear.
@glipzik I agree. I own/operate an ice cream van and can relate. I do not have prices on my van either for that very reason and never had a complaint or insinuation that I was ripping someone off.

Anytime I see a picture of anything and there isn't a price on it, and it's on a moving vehicle, I run as FAST AS I CAN.
