If you cover a band like A7X, you have to respect how THEY wanted this sound to be, more you don't play as good them so don't do stupid things with their song, or make your own song if you want to play it in drop C...

A fine point, and by all means, why copy the band exactly anyway? Shows very little skill, and just means you can play something that someone else can too. People don't realize that a cover is how YOU see the song. Not another band just repeating what one band has done. They show their own flavor. Essentially the same concept for a single person.
