@israelowns12 Ogryns are actually abhumans (humans that evolved differently from the rest of humanity on a remount world). The imperium is more afraid of mutants and psykers due to there link to the warp (and so, vulnerable to chaos). The Ogryns arent put down due to the fact that they can be useful (like the Ratlings, dwarf abhumans who are good snipers), and that they are extremely loyal to the imperium and not that dangerus.

The imperium would be gone in months at the most without the guard in a never ending battle to keep humanity safe. We are under constant attack, yet the imperium is still around doesn't that say a lot, that the guard is winning most of those battles and that we loose more worlds than we gain because we are attacked from all sides. The imperial guard is a force to be reckoned with and if we were losing most of our battles the imperium would be getting very small very fast.

Please for the love of the Emperor don't tell me the thing that starts with a K is the Kasrikin, because they are not Xenos. The Imperium does NOT tolerate full out co-operation with Xenos. Yes, the Guard and Marines have worked with the Tau and the Eldar before but that pact does not last long, only for that fight and that's it. Next time they meet it's just another blood stained battlefield.

Actually Ogryns and Ratlings are examples of so-called 'abhuman' species, humans who have lived on low/high gravity worlds and evolved to fit the environment. They are tolerated since they fill important roles in the Imperial Guard, but there are other 'abhuman' speices that have been destroyed by the inquisition for various reasons such as dangerous psychic abilities.

@ma82fo Given what I've seen of the Imperial StarFleet, while its dreadnoughts are heavily armed and armoured they have several serious design flaws....they are primarily broadside armoured vessels with one (or rarely two) spinal mounts. Meaning you must turn the ship to aim the weapons. My fleet would be comprised of more modern vessels with turreted weaponry. Fewer guns, but able to outgun the Imperium by bringing more weapons to bear in a given direction....
