  • I'm with Phil well let's see them both from a dig see where mr boost is haha

  • y does every1 get all happy that mr2 won its turbo vs all motor slap a turbo on the hatch at 15 psi that mr2 will have no chance in hell

  • The civic has been sold for over a year and the mr2 hasn't run in over 2 years. He ran 13.05 @ 105 for a long time and on nitrous the civic ended up making 251/210 on a 60 shot with numerous mid 12s passes.

For the MR2 fans, it's a beautiful car way ahead of it's time and a shame they cancelled it. For the ones that say the mr2 should destroy the civic, power to weight is everything regardless of what car it is.

Grow up, just because 90% of civic owners are retarded don't assume we all dont

  • @EG8SIR if the MR2 is stock then there around the same HP and i know the civic is alot lighter, so i dont see a problem and i wldnt be ashamed to lose if i was driving this MR2, and i own one lol, but people have to give respect to all cars

  • obviously the mr2 will win..

  • h22 hatch are no slouches. that mr2 pulled it off though

  • My MR2 with less mods would of torque jumped that civic & keep on pulling

  • civic are gayass car

  • Well done civic!

    I love MR2's

  • props to the h22 guy.

  • oh yea oh yea?????well my 97 civic with a d16y runs 6 flat in the 1/2 mile at like 300mph on 49 octane pump gas. If my fender wasn't dented it would run like 3 seconds and 100mph faster. so nah nah

  • funny... got boost?? dont need boost, just 2 stage 2 skunk 2 camshafts for the H22~!!! make that civic run 13's

  • and that was supposed to be a boosted sw20???

    what a disgrace for boosts...

  • Why bother doing a whole forged engine but still use the CT26? The stock pistons and rods are good for way more than the ct26 can give.

  • Agreed

  • @rdcrezz Because he's full of shit.

  • nice run but the 3sgte is a hardcore motor iv had a jdm h22 in a hatch it was fast but my gen3 swapped mr2 would burn it anyday my car runs 13.1 daily driver with very little mods 13sec daily is hard to get out of a honda.MR2 has more style and handling and come with a strong motor from factory. great vid. keep up the great work.

  • my stock h22a hatch ran 13.5

  • Im sure your car rocks iv always loved fast hatches

  • that shyt must be gutted

  • there is so much you can do to get a lot of power out of the 3sgte but upgrading the turbo is a must and personally i would go with a t3/t4 because it is good for high hp and it dont take much to spool if you already have to engine work done

  • I have an ek hatch with a h22 and full bolts on and i beat my friends bolt ons mr all the time. Hatches are light and the h22 has decent power. There alot quicker than what ppl. think and unlike the hatch in this vid. mine is heavier and doesnt have lsd.

  • Im not much of a civic guy and i do have a mr2 and its has stomped civics like nothin so i give you props on that race your civic is pretty fast

  • you should see what it does to the mr2 now that its on nitrous ;)

  • hahahaha nice one ! cant stop laughing ....!

  • You should see my geo metro on nitrous.

    MR2 FTW

Fast civic tho. ive never seen a mr2 having problems with a civic

  • @EG8SIR You should see what happens to your puny lil Aluminum block, cuz you don't have a sports car.

  • sweet i like that civic, best civic ive seen so far....

  • Since this video i have added a 75 shot and a3" exhaust on my civic and hes added an upgraded stock unit turbo but is offically out of fuel and leaning out at 17psi. Hes trapped 105 at the track and i have trapped 106 on spray

  • Wow why do all that stuff on the CT26, I doubt he was even over 250rwhp, thats sad considering the stock bottom end has been pushed over 400rwhp and the stock head has pushed over 700rwhp with no porting

  • holy shit your civics fast.. before i upgraded the turbo on my car, and just had bolt ons like that guys mr2, pushing 15psi it was pretty quick..

  • my bro picked up huge gains in the 1/4 by the use of a ct20b

  • Yah CT26 holding you back big time at that point. It dosnt pull to redline eather. CT20B (96+ MR2 turbo) is much better for a cheap upgrade pulled to redline and good for 300WHP

  • Comment removed

  • yeah the turbo is whats killing me... the ct26 is best suited as a boat anchor...

  • less than a ton + h22a and still the mildly modded mr2 won? and the mr2s got hid too :P peace

  • i guess if you consider worked head and rebuilt bottom end with forged pistons and rods to be mild then yes.

Wish i had internal work but my motor is still stock.

  • Even though his motor is built, that turbo (if its the stock turbo) passes its efficiency around 220whp. Then there's a CT27 which is around 250whp. Stock turbo is weaksauce. Have him upgrade to at least a TD06 turbo and then he should be hauling some ass around 300whp with 17psi

  • Well hes broke from building the motor, he told me its the JDM Turbo but i believe he said only difference was ceramic turbine housing for faster spool.

  • ct27 is good for 300 as is the ct20B TO06 is good for 350ish but lower psi

  • @ProjekIssei stock ecu have fuel cut out at about 16psi depending on sea level.

  • that motor doesnt make me more than a couple ponys more than a stock one would... a jdm ecu would make more power than that motor...

  • All those mods and just a ct26? Could at least do 17 psi on the upgraded smic.

  • Damn...That was a pretty good run! I hate that the stock ct26 power falls after 5500rpms.
