Can't Change Me Music Video Interpretation BY just2toomuch
Done to Chris Cornell's Can't Change Me, this video goes through the trials and tribulations a father and daughter goes through as both of them grow, body and soul. A mini-movie
Copy and paste. The video maker deserves recognition- Thanks !
This song, like the album, is such an obscure-forgotten masterpiece. I feel so privileged to be able to play this back whenever I feel like it. Congrats on whoever else has watched this video, even if it was by accident or you're a Cornell hater.
I was a HUGE soundgarden fan back then and I was aware of ALL the works he had done before his new band Audioslave... I started to listen to Audioslave too and I loved it. But I always said that Cornell's best record is Euphoria Morning! It's like he found the real cornell inside! However I think he didn't see what he has done then... Euphoria Morning is one of the best albums ever! It is like I don't know Jackson's Thriller, Buckley's Grace! Chris I wish you stuck with this mind-blowing band!
Natasha's signature is all over this song. RIP. I could hear her sing it. It's Eleven's unique, russian-gothic sound that made this album the masterpiece it is. I gotta say, the intonation problems in this live performance get in the way of my enjoyment of it. AWESOME ALBUM THOUGH!!!
First time I see this video...oh my God he is great, I've seen him about 8 times in the last 2 years and he sounds just as great; however this song is just something else
This his only solo album, as far as I'm concerned. Masterpiece of a record. Anything after that laked "something". Maybe he sold out to HipHop Production:)
Euphoria Morning is one of the best albums I've ever heard and will hear in future. Cornell is an amazing songwriter and an awesome singer. All Soundgarden albums are classic. Chris please come back to your roots :)
Chris and I became very close friends in these days. I CAN tell you, he is not the same person now, as he was then. He is happier, but his art, and the man "performing" it, is gone.... Hold on to the stuff from the past, and seperate the things you hear now. Two different people..
In a way that's exactly what the song "Ghost" on carry on is about. At least he's honest about it. Saying lines like "I know who you're looking for.. he doesn't live here anymore" etc.
it's too bad he associated w/ that sleazy rapper producer timberland or timberlake or whatever. euphoria morning is a CLASSIC in my humble opinion. his new shit is crap. he's got a lot more in him then that.
you know he's so super talented and can make really amazing "eerie" music and melodies. he also is a master of phrasing as well. i believe he 'cheapens' himself to work w/ these 'rap' producers; now; when he was highly regarded and respected. not that he should give a fuck, but he took a wrong turn i guess. i don't get it??!! a complete left turn.
i got your comment and i agree with you. i really love his voice, however he may be losing it, i saw a later live version of black hole sun live and he can't belt it like he use to. maybe this new stuff is all he can do? pity, i really love his music. we'll have to see what the future brings!!!?
Euphoria morning is a masterpiece! I don't look down at his cooperation with Timbaland, because the CD is not really that bad, but he could do better. I guess he's tired of great music that don't sell because of the general atmosphere
he's truly gifted with such an amazing voice and poetic abilities. i am absolutely disappointed with his last co-operation with timberland. it's the end.
he seemed to be in a depressed state between the latter years of soundgarden and to a year or two after the release of this album...it definitely shows...good stuff though
SoundGarden and Euphoria Morning was Chris' best stuff. Audioslave had their good stuff(Shadow on the Sun, Like A Stone, etc.) but after that, his music just got lame.
I don't view Temple of the Dog as a solo album, and Carry On had good vocals yes, but there were only like two or three good songs on it in my opinion.
This has to be the saddest song I've ever heard, and for strange reasons one of my favorites in the world. Euphoria Morning is a masterpiece. Long live Chris Cornell, I hope he comes back soon.
Guys, did you know that Natasha Shneider passed on 2 July, 2008? I was just browsing the web sites and found the information related to this tragic event. She died of cancer...:(
i'm sad..she was the wife of alain jhoannes...i've seen their performance with qotsa, it was 2 years ago i think..o my god i'm so sad..wha a fukin news..

Also, everything I've read states that it's a tribute to Jeff, not co-written by him. The title sort of implies that.
This is soo cool. Alain Johannes singing the low part in the 2nd verse is great. He has a similar voice to Chris in the low registers so it fits perfectly. Chris sounds amazing (ok a bit off key in the chorus sometimes), as this was before he sort of wrecked his voice.
and so we start another day together you and i and a million miles betweenus i train my moods to bloom like flowers unfolding instead of fluttering around and slowly drowning in the STEEL RAIN it's taking over-great lyrics
Thanks, man lol. I've chain smoked like mad for the past while. My voice is too gravelly now to be at what I used to do. Plus, I can't sustain a note as long and carry out other little tricks of the trade anymore. Another culprit is the lack of practice, I reckon. From now on in I'll leave it up to the professionals. I'll remain a listener than a performer.
I smoked 1 pack of cigs since I was 12!Then I quit for 5 years, started again when I was offered a cig,its hellish to stop smoking,I have been without cigs now 4 months and I can breath deeply,no pain in my chest, great, but certainly not easy,I wish everybody who wants to quit smoking could do that
I've been smoking since I was 16 and gave them up as a new years resolution at the turn of the century. I only lasted a week as a friend of mine coaxed by tempting me to go on them again in a bar and like the weak soul I am I caved in. Not much of a friend, eh?
For a long time though I've contemplated going off them but it's going to be more difficult as I'm deeper into my addiction now than ever.
So awesome you've filmed this. This is rare footage. Thank you!

This is soo cool. Alain Johannes singing the low part in the 2nd verse is great. He has a similar voice to Chris in the low registers so it fits perfectly. Chris sounds amazing (ok a bit off key in the chorus sometimes), as this was before he sort of wrecked his voice.

Damn right it does. I used to sing well a number of years back and now I'm more like Tom Waits instead of Thom Yorke lol.

Tom Waits sounds ok,keep on siging! I cannot even reach that myself!
