this is old stuff and is still untouchable! this is why she is the queen! if she doesnt sing another note she has more than made her mark in music history! can't no one touch old aretha! she is just raw and polished at the same time! when she wants to be polished she is! when she wants to be raw she is! what ever she wants her voice to do she does!

I think there's something to be said for how most of the great soul singers learned their trade in church. Those gospel choirs encouraged expression and really letting it loose and learning how to sing both tender and intense music. Today's "divas" are too plastic and learned by singing in some mall or talent shows and got famous because of looks first, vocals second. Aretha was so good, she didn't need a music video to prove it.
