Reading both Larissa's and James' academic articles on symmetrical versus asymmetrical communication, the recent advances in PR come from a number of sources (linguistics, communication theory, and so on) but have only recently "hit the fan". Grunig's elucidations are nothing short of earth-shattering (to me), and founded as they are on ethics and The Golden Rule, make them that much more poignant. Would love to see more posts, since I am just entering this exciting field.
