That depends on if you attribute conciousness to the sun, and the sun doesn't really technically "rise" everyday, of course, atleast according to three dementional physics. It depends on your philosophy and if you've been exposed to the ancient Sacred Mysteries, as Canibus obviously has. Does a tree falling in a forest still make noise if no "living" creature is there to hear it? The debate can, and most likely will, go on forever, or atleast until the end of this physical universe.
