@RalphClassic I ended up getting a kidney stone when I was like 25 or 26, so that sucked. I was not drinking enough water. Now I make sure to drink more water than soda each day. Also, right now I am out of soda syrup and I have not found another place to get more.
I drink about 4 gallons of soda a week, that's roughly $16 a week. 5 gallons of syrup costs about $40 that makes roughly 35 gallons of soda which would last me a little over 2 months (8.75 weeks) where as I would be paying $140 buying 12 packs. After about 10 months, the soda machine will have paid for itself. Then it's roughly $20 a month afterwords instead of $70. A very nice %72 percent savings.
Impressive numbers alright, but now let's examine what that much soda drinking does to your health, likely more cost in doctor bills than the savings you sop carefully figured out. Quit now, drink only good water, you'll have more energy and crave less sugary, syrupy fluids.
is that all you're looking at? if you took that view to everything, you would never buy a car because of the price! The actual cost of the syrup + Co2 is around 1.98 per 2 liters which is a lot less then you can get it canned or bottled.
I was at two supermarkets today. All 2-liter bottles of soda were on sale for 99 cents. If you must buy(or make) soda, drink only soda made with real cane sugar. All of the corn syrup sweetened sodas are making the world fat.
Yes, on sale this week. Last week they were 79 cents. If you really want cheap soda, you can order those 2-liter bottles by the pallet load from local distributor and get them for less than 69 cents a bottle. I think the issue here is not about the savings, it's a fascination with the dispenser, which is fine. As far as the sugary, syrupy liquid: drinking sodas does not fulfill the required 24 to 32 ounces of water we are supposed to drink each day.
Yes, I did the same with my dispenser. Over the course of a year I finally eliminated the syrup completely and just drink sparkling water. Truly a win-win for my health and for my bank account! As far as soda goes: the best is still from a glass bottle. My preference: a small bottle of Coke made in Mexico(better water and made with cane sugar!).
Who cares? Oh, maybe 650,000 people whose rent & food money depend on having a job at Coke or at Pepsi. How's that for starters?
Reality check: You ask "who cares??", well, that's your answer. A full list of over 650,000 people at each company can be found at their websites under Human Resources/Records. A printed copy is available for your files for about $235 with postage.
Hey do you refrigrate or cool your soda at all, before it is dispensed or is it straight out. I have a 8 flavor one, and I am asking this because I have no clue. Its one with a built in ice dispensor. I dont have ice in because the unit has no chilling.
This unit has a cold plate (large block of aluminum) that needs to be submerged in ice inside a container. I bought a cooler that the cold plate could fit inside and I made holes of the correct size for the soda water (C02 mixed with water) hose to go in and then out of the cooler. Instead of ice I use those reusable freezer pack things that have that blue gel inside. I have 8 large plastic freezer packs. I always have 4 in the cooler and 4 in my freezer for when I need to switch them.
Most You Tubers agree with you! The original video producer likely regrets this huge error. Maybe he'll re-shoot the video, since it's actually a really cool video. We showed it at our advertising class at a big university last week.

how do you have your water supply hooked up? From your washer dryer?
MegaDeathwarrant 1 year ago
@MegaDeathwarrant The incoming water pipe was split so that it can go to the washing machine or my fountain.

did you buy the kit from someone who's just wanting to get rid of it or from someone who just sells those products non stop?

@matsou10 It sounds like that because I only used for a few glasses a day. These things are meant to serve hundreds of glasses a day.

that's a temporary sale, and nothing is making the world fat besides self control, or the lack there of.

well with this system you can control the mixture, so if you have it watered down a bit more than usual it would cost even less.
