@selenabritroma Well noo, they're still not rich. This was in 2008 when their LP came out, which gained much popularity. They're getting more known, and with Contra they're getting money. But many bright artists aren't rich...yet. Ezra is still paying off his college funds.

He was born in the upper west side and moved to Jersey as a kid so it's safe to say he doesn't have any kind of New York City accent (I can tell you from personal experience he does not). It's basically just a hipster kind of "cool guy" speech pattern, like how all the beat poets and singers talked in the 50s. Watch videos of Paul Simon from the early 60s after he lived in England for a year or so and then again in the 70s or 80s or even now to see what I mean.
