first wrote it when he was 16 and then wrote it again when he was 23 (for Nico). What a beautiful thing to say. Totally amazing song, the lyrics and music. Can you imagine he wrote a song that wise at such a young age? amazing.
How did you ever get this wonderful video at the concert? Isn't security watching for cameras?? Would there ever be a way you would share the DVD of this? Would be happy to pay you for it. I would loved to recored him this past Wednesday (3-2-11) when I saw him in Sacramento. He put on an amazing show as always! He is so talented...hard to find talent like this "these days".
my girlfriend and i recently broke up. this song expresses the sadness and remorse in my heart like no other; thank you jackson for helping me get through this.
Jackson Browne is a rare example of fine acoustic fingerpicked guitar. Harmonies can be heard and enjoyed. Messages can be absorbed with thought.Moods can be calm and introspective. This Master spent a long time learning to pick like this. It is so evident and is simply gorgeous.
I've been a musician off and on for 43 years now but I never cease to be amazed by the remarkable gifts of others. This is some of the finest guitar work I've ever heard and it takes great technique to play it as flawlessly as he does. It's perpetual motion helps to expresses musically the same message of perseverance the lyrics do. But more than all that, I can't seem to stop listening to it. This is Song writing at it's best.
saw him in A.C., NJ this month and he said that he wouldn't do this song.. I guess he's just tired of it.. was disappointed, as, this is one of my youngest sons favorite songs..and he's only 18 and in a band and I am really glad that my kids have Jackson as an influence in today's music and inspiration.
I just saw him in concert in NYC and it's amazing how MANY guitars he has. This is one of my favorite songs - I saw him at a show in the '80s and he said he didn't play this anymore when someone called it out. I'm glad he changed his mind! Great channel, thanks for all!
This is one of the finest songs of all time, and I am so pleased that JB is singing his old songs again with such soul. If only... If only Bob Dylan would do the same.. that is sing at least one of his songs live the way we learned to love it.
30 years go by so fast...but somehow I suspect, I may not have made it without songs like this...thanks JB for saving my life with your music so many years ago...
his older materials were always his best, still looks and sounds great, seen many live since 72,one of the greatest ever, does alot to help people out ,its in his songs too.thanks for the video.
Walking can be a beneficial substitute for talking, after so many years of thinking about all of the things that have happened, and those things yet to come.
I remember I saw Jacson Brown in concert in the '90s and he said he didn't play this song anymore and he said it like he was annoyed people were yelling for it. I guess he changed his mind, cuz I can find many videos of him performing these days within the past ten years. I love the song but now when I listen to these videos I wonder if he secretly hates singing it!
When I was much younger, prone to f*****g, up so/too much, especially in relationships, this song would come to mind.
As the song says, "keep on movin," I did, thinking I wasn't making as many mistakes, having learned from my youth, but "These days," again, just as in my youth, pondering my most current mistakes.
Still, I grasp for the optimistic parts of life, and will continue to learn, hopefully leaving this form, as a fond memory to most people I've known, and those who "Really," know me.
Saw him at Glastonbury 1980 i think. It was a CND oriented, fund raising event. He was the only artist that played without being payed a fee! Respect!!
seemed like a great concert.I hope he performes again soon!! its funny because when Jackson says "I wrote this song when i was 16 and then again at 23", he said that exact samw thing at the Connecticut concert! he's sooo cute, love him!!!

am I the only one who thinks this look suits his songs better than the young look?

This guy just doesn't seem to age, if you ask me. Take away the beard, and he looks about the same as he has for 30 years. We should all be so lucky.
What a true talent...
