I don't know much about Bachman's comments, but I have heard about that policy change from the Clinton era.

I don't think it has anything to do with skin color, but Fannie/Freddie were forced (as I understand it) to give more loans to people who couldn't necessarily afford them. She has no business bringing up blacks/minorities because it is a monetary issue, not a racial one.

I think we may now have some insight into why she sounded so plastic when she said Michael Steele was "da man".

Oy, I'm not sure which is sadder, that Bachman's like that, that she thought she could say crap like that and not be torn down for it, or that the fact that she DID win re-election.
