Even if the bruising came from The Briggs' - then why did she die in the care of Raye Dawn and Mike Porter, also if you read the book "Who Killed Kelsey" you will read that a doctor said the type of blow Kelsey suffered took longer than half an hour, and Porter says he was only with Kelsey for half an hour. So either Raye Dawn hit Kelsey, or Mike is lying about how long he spent with Kelsey. Also the "sexual assult" injuries could of been caused by a kick to the privates or butt.

I also know I live in NZ - I didn't even get news coverage of the story. Everything I learn is (just like this) through the internet and more importantly Youtube. So I will never be sure who killed Kelsey, but I forever know it wasn't Lance and I will continue to pray for him.

The dad was in Iraq and we he gets home he finds out his daughter is DEAD. If I had come home to find my daughter dead. I would go into depression, I wouldn't want to leave my house for ANYTHING. His child is gone, nothing he can do will bring her back. Why go anywhere when there is nothing he can do to get rid of the pain he has inside of him.

Yes watch all the VIDEOS... None of those videos were made by people who were near Kelsey. Its all hear say the only person who would have the full true story is Kelsey. You cannot judge anyone unless you hear the whole story, but sadly that will never happen.

I know kids are clumsy and all but come on. Losing her hair, not eating, withdrawls, turning from a happy go lucky baby, to a baby that doesnt wanna be bothered with and is always sleeping. I just wanted to comment that a lot of toddlers bite, not all of them due to abuse. I find it odd that it was only happening at one place, however. Also, I don't understand them convicting Kelsey's mom for "not knowing who" the person was who was abusing. That seems unconstitutional. Where is the intent here? They are two distinct things from being in denial about abuse.
I would not want to see my relative used as a poster child for abuse? Would you.
It is exploitation if parents are not in agreement with the memory of their child being used this way.

and another thing...that baby was still in diapers or just potty trained im sure how could her mother not tell she was sexually abused?...i know there had to have been some sign...im very sure of it she was a baby that should have been her smack in the face to keep a better watch on her child im sorry i seem kind of rude but how do you not see that? i was sexually abused...shes a baby if you have to change her diaper you have to notice unless again you are being neglectful

Apparently, the excuse for Raye Dawn not knowing that Kelsey was being excused is that Kelsey was never with her when the abuse occurred.

@karissalynn326 I came to that very same conclusion. How can you change her diaper and not notice anything. Not to mention your child is having one accident after another.. I know kids are clumsy and all but come on. Losing her hair, not eating, withdrawls, turning from a happy go lucky baby, to a baby that doesnt wanna be bothered with and is always sleeping. Also if the step sister couldve spoken up earlier, maybe that couldve helped a little bit. But she was probably terrified as well.

first of r.i.p angel youre safe now! i dont know what really happend...the only people that do are the ones that did it and obviously somewhere someone is lying...my question is though...how did raye dawn not know her husband was abusing her 2 year old? and how did she not know who else if there was anyone else was...thats neglect...im confused point blank that child should have been in state care i blame both sides of the family and the state for not helping that beautiful little girl

I don't think it was Kelsey's mom. Just by looking at the photos you can see that she loved Kelsey and that Kelsey felt comfortable.

I just wanted to comment that a lot of toddlers bite, not all of them due to abuse. I find it odd that it was only happening at one place, however. Also, I don't understand them convicting Kelsey's mom for "not knowing who" the person was who was abusing. That seems unconstitutional. Where is the intent here? How can she be convicted of something like this? I haven't read enough stuff to know the 'real truth' so I will hold my reservations. I've missed court dates due to not receiving notice...

I am sorry, I understand that you may know the mum, but I can only say how I feel. My thoughts are with that darling little girl, not either parties. There seems to be so many failures where Kelsey was concerned, the blame should be on all those shoulders who did not stand up for her

Everyone involved failed this little girl. I don't see what anyone gets out of pointing fingers back and forth. A child is dead!!! What a shame. RIP Kelsey.

wow..i HATE 2 see a child between other peoples hate, it really gets me angry!!thanks 4 sending me this & YES ITS A COMPLETE DIFf. STORY 4rm THE OTHER 1! but heres the thing,if the DHA (<-is that it?) knew kelsey had those reactions w/ the Briggs then Y couldnt the court see the obvious? & Y DID they even agree w/ a plea? if they also loved kelsey as much they could of countered it back 2 briggs fam,that way the real people would B where they belong? & the police photo doesn look to convincing?

i think that is the best video i have ever seen with kelsey in it if she was alive then she would be happy that you tried to help her mom out of jail but she is in a very happy and joyful place right now and watching over everyone she was ever close to and was and is her friend.
