I missed out on buying Lollita but thank heaven I bought Up Home! in 1988. Now one of my most prized possessions. WOGS on this EP is wonderful too, a song that will break your heart in the best possible way.
I really dig A.R. Kane. I used to hear it in the chill room when I was a regular at Metropolis back in the early 90s Wow, and it's awesome to see these old songs I haven't heard in forever. There's an album which most people have never heard. It only had one print, way back in the early renditions of A. R. Kane. The album was called "Licking comets from moon mammary skin." That album KICKED ASS. I have it on vinyl, actually. What a GREAT album...
A.R.Kane are genius - criminally underrated. This is one of their finest moments, from the 'Up Home' ep (1988). Bands like them, late-period Talk Talk, Bark Psychosis etc set the post rock benchmark. Dizzying stuff!
This record is a compilation of their material. Up is originally from the Up Home! e.p. which is hard to come by. This compilation is a good way to grab this song, but the rest will be redundant if you have 69 and I. The rest of their e.p.'s are also worth checking out if you can find them.
A VERY underrated band. It's a shame how this stuff goes ignored, but at the same time it's amazing because of the present day internet, everyone all of a sudden discovers music like this.
Definitely paves the way for Sigur Ros. I prefer this though.

Wow, I have their first two records which I enjoy thoroughly but was told to avoid this record. Maybe I'll have to give it a chance. Thanks!
