@styropyro okay so yestersday i got the momentary switch and 2x aa barttery holder from radio shack, when i got home and pujt the batteries in the battery holder and placed it in tthe altoids tin, the holder became hot at the end where both the negative and positive wires go thru the hole to the switch, why is that?

@styropyro I bought this and it was pretty cool but it only melted a little bit of plastic, didn't light a match so could i just turn the "pot" to make it more powerful. also both the wires broke off due to shitty soldering and the button fell apart but i have all the peices and i need to fix it. is it ok to re-solder it? please reply with some information on this please because of the cash i spent on it and i dont want it to be wasted 8C

@styropyro A week ago my laser module broke, I got the same one as you from DX and I did not leave it on very long or let it get hot and I even tried warming it but it would start pretty bright then quickly go down I also tried new batteries through this and it did not work. Then I turned it on and it flashed once then nothing and now it does not work at all and I've tried adjusting the pot a minute ago that did not help I tried re soldering the diode and making good connections but nothing pt2

@omgimwithoutaname dude you can do the same thing with a less powerful 100mW blue module cuz all he is doing is giving the module a power source and neatly giving it a shell just for looks so all you need is a power source and there you go, just the other things make it look nicer

@Development2112 ok so what you do is take a 16x dvd burner and take out the diode then you put a 3 ohm resistor on a lm317 then you hook that up to the diode then you give it power, see....
