well, they have said that the limiter doesn't effect the qtr mile run... so it goes 10.?? at 135-ish. there's no way it's going to take back the qtr mile crown... plus at $17990... it's no wonder they can't seel all the 2500 bikes they are going to import this year.... too much, not enough. they should have just kept the other one... better yet, put that engine in my warrior... and watch the f... out. sorry max, not this year

Too busy for my eye, looks like it rolled out of an old anime. I don't like the ninety degree plus dog leg the incoming air has to negotiate to get into the head either. The metal finishes are the best part, they are just sexy. Brushed aluminum, chrome and titanium colored engine casings, juxtaposed against the satin charcoal frames powder coat is sweet. The bike its self is just too big and heavy looking in my opinion.

It would be more accurate to say that a Harley (I am assuming you mean the V-Rod) looks like it as the V-Max has been around over 20 years. This is new stying but keeps the original idea and design lines.

Looks a little too sportbike, not enough cruiser. One of the things I like about the original is that you can ride with any crowd without being put into a category. I don't need a leather vest and a gray ponytail, and I don't need to dress like I just left the track. I can choose to look like a normal person.

The busa and 14 are in another class and will be tough to hang with. But, with the right stuff it can be done. Why is yamaha dragging their feet on building this muscular work of art? It's lines are perfect! But I would try to make it a single sided swing arm.

Thanks for posting this, I'm sure it'll be a real monster. My personal preference is the old styling, because it's more cruiser than sportbike, but that's my gain, because it'll make the old ones cheaper. As for the horsepower, I've got a 94 VMax, and I've never complained about it being too slow, in fact I've never even experienced all of its capabilities, so I can only imagine what 75 more ponies feels like! This thing is gonna need a parachute for brakes.

I'm a vmaxer and don't like the new version... it seem like the other actual motorcycles, look the old VMAX and try to find something equal in the same years.

Try to ride on for thousand of km.....
