What gives it away is the video's wide screen aspect, it has a black spacer above and below the video. If you watch closely at 1:03, 1:54, and 3:52, you can see the door open, and can also see it below the actual video in the black spacer, so it looks like the video was filmed by a camera aimed at a monitor that had the original video, and it picked up a reflection across the room.

It's a reflection. You're looking at a recording of a TV screen. The reflection you see is coming from behind the camera in the same room where the TV is being recorded. The reflection covers the foreground of the TV. It even goes over the letterbox (black bar) at the bottom. It's not someone opening a door behind the leak LOL.

Now if it is TV monitor reflection as you claim how come you can hear the door open in that video. Further, how does a TV monitor end up underwater in order to cast a reflection on the camera lens. Further, there is no appearance of a TV monitor in the CNN footage; there is a reflection of man opening a door.

To clear it up a bit more, the footage is being taped off a Pioneer TV. That's the top of the company logo being displayed.

As for why they look different, well the CNN footage was published on June 8th. There's no visible date as to when the actual footage being recorded off the Pioneer TV was recorded. Over the 60 days of this they've capped, top filled, sawed, welded, top hatted, etc, so it's not crazy to think that part with oil pouring out of it is different now.

this is obviously a camera being placed in front of a monitor in a control room and the door you see if the control room entrance. the well head video shots look different for sure.. if that's 100K barrels a day, they are highly exaggerating...

it is the same well. this clip was made back on June 3rd after they cut the top off. it does appear to be slowed motion.

The brighter areas don't show the reflection, so it looks like the door is behind the plume. To me it just looks like a reflected scene. It makes no visual sense for that door to be behind that specific scene...it doesn't look like a miniature or a special effect.

@praeeo Ok, I agree that this is not the same leak that we've been looking at for the last almost 60 days or so, but the reflection is on the screen not in it. Look very closely at 1:54 on your player, pause it there and you can see that the image of someone opening the door is on the screen all the way from the top to the bottom. This is a reflection from behind the person shooting the video, or from the source. It's not behind the well head that they are showing.

@BlessedONE333returnz Well for one thing, which they forgot to mention, was when the rig went down and twisted a mile of pipe in every direction, it broke off well heads and kinked and broke transpo. lines all over the ocean floor. That particular video is of one of the slower less powerful leaks. Of course this doesn't even touch the fact that oil is now seeping through the cracks in the floo because of a "downhole casing failure."

The first pics are from before the cap was stuck on. I have a lot of pics of this thing.But the door has been bothering a lot of folks. They are saying that instead of live feed totally, we were getting live Picture of a Live Feed, on a screen. This is the most popular explanation, but I never saw the link to back it up CSIWEMBLEY is also correct, the sideways leak was shown, it is puzzling. I am not sitting and watching all 12 camera feeds every day but I bet someone is ! Tell us how many!

Pressure on this described wellhead figured using simple math at that depth is 140,000 PSI, the drill depth is near 25,000 feet, meaning anything making its way out of that well has to be higher than 140,000 PSI...its a huge scam folks, the math is impossible. It's not fake. I think its just another leak from a different part of the well maybe. The riser leak is not the only leak, there are others. Also, I really don't think someone opening the door means that its fake. Could had been someone at the CNN office or something. It's not that big of a deal. But BP is deliberately misleading the public into thinking that this is the main leak.
