  • I know just enough about sharks to know how really cool that would have been to see in person.

  • That's just awesome... I wish I would have learned to dive when my lungs still worked... Literally the one thing I regret

  • Great video!

  • me and a buddy caught a six gill that was about 2 1/2 feet long in the south puget sound.

  • @codyridesdirtbikes did you return it? hmm? lol, but seriously, don't mess with the balance an ecosystem has

  • @sunsetsbythesea Ya, we didn't even pull him out of the water. We just cut the line when he was on the side of the boat, to get the hook we would of had to pull him out of the water and we didn't want to do that. He swam away fine and wasn't injured.

  • @codyridesdirtbikes sweet :P

  • That is amazing. Simply put.

  • hey guys, watch the video RARE MASSIVE 6-GILL SHARK SIGHTING AT 3300, not trying to spam here but that thing was literally massive!!! if u thought this was big u gotta see that video it was awesome!!! and that guy was lucky!! i wish i could have seen that thing

  • I guess I am a little concerned about these sharks becoming agressive to humans , especially in this shallow water where humans are likely to be. I know they are ot supposed to be agreessive but maybe they haven't been around humans enough to have the opportunity to be agressive.

  • @Christopher711

More people have had deaths related to chairs then by sharks. Only 67 deaths have been recorded, we need to trust sharks more so that we can stop damaging the ecosystem, while over fishing (around 100 milion sharks) is bringing many sharks to extinction. How many sharks have eaten people, and how many people have eaten sharks? In other words, please dont be worried about shark attacks and please be more worried on how paranoid views are driving magnificent fish to extinction.

  • WOw this is amazing!!!!

  • This video deserves more views.. Amazing..

  • WOW! thats really shallow for a 6 gill. I mean ya theres a lot of 6 gills in the puget sound but there mostly in deeper water. Great video.

  • what do they eat

  • FANTASTIC. That is really shallow water. Strange to see one in THAT shallow of water. Usually, they are seen at much deeper depths. Yes, the females come to shallow waters, but that is REALLY shallow for that species.

    Great stuff!!!

  • Awesome Video! srsly!

6 gilled sharks are kinda funny , they also seem pretty friendly.

Also are the shallow sea 6 gilled sharks the same as the deep water ones?

    Deep water ones are Huuge!

  • mudsharks are awesome. their not the most common, but they have been spotted in seattle area more than enough times.. in fact frank zappa made a song about the mudshark and seattle.

  • Wow, I did not know of 6 gills coming that close to the surface, typically we (At Stanley Submarines dep sea submersible) see them only below 1000 feet deep. I also noticed the fish at the beginning of your video is a Chimera, This is also a deep sea creature rarely seen near the surface. Is it possible the deep sea currents changed and brought these deep sea creatures near the surface? sometimes after tsunamis, dep sea creatures are found on the beaches. Interesting guys. :)

  • Come to san diego, We see them all the time. Ours tend to be agressive.

  • Are 6 gilled sharks megamouths? or is their a bunch of different 6 gills?

  • the guy ones r fucking masive so yeh theyre megamouths the girl ones not so masive :D

  • Cool. Six gilled sharks are awesome.

  • agreed they are pretty amazing creatures most deep ocean life is interesting tho

  • wow

  • Awesome video! Great job, Craig and Mike!
