I am about to consider getting a guitar over from the Uk, and was considering the ls 85 or so Goldtop...

How would you compare the base japanese models to the likes of ls150's? (tonewise, i only care for the non-sycamore/veneer models).

When it comes to fretwork, neck playability..../???
