he was flying straight at me from a far off distance, i was standing on the russian runway in caspian border. he was flying pretty low like 20 feet off the ground at the most. i fired a little bit above him and then i saw the hit marker and the sign "disabled a vehicle" the jet then pulled up turned right and then blew up about 5 seconds later

If this game is anything like BC2, What happened was his rocket (probably) exploded on the rock, And caused just enough splash damage to send the vehicle into "absolute-spaz-1%-health-mode" Where you really can't control the vehicle, And it explodes in like a second, he probably couldn't bail fast enough and hit something explosive (or another parked car) and it counted as suicide.

The reason why it didnt disable the jet or destroy it, is because the RPG/ launchers need a minimun arming distance before doing full damage. thats also why the rpg exploded some seconds after the jet passed by

As you can see in the slow-mo the projectile hit the jet but it only did minor damage and at 0:23 you can see the jet is still whole then it crashed.
