Make the larger base plate from 1/2" bc grade plywood and drill out the holes w/ a Self Centering Hinge Drill Bit to get your inital hole centered then re-drill it to the actual hole size needed according to a tap and die chart
i have had this problem before and will try this method, thanks for the vid i dnt kno why i didnt think of this before, i lost many templates due to the router leaning and cutting the template
Because you made it completely square, its not going to make any difference at all. The distribution of weight is the same. You could have made it bigger on the table side.

this is fucking stupid. to prevent dipping into your work get some experience and skill. it is fairly simple to push harder on the side of the board than the side that isn't. and if you are completely retarded use a router table
um okkkk um and years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand Sorry!

i think this is for retarded folks with no money for a routing table...i think its a great alternative...perhaps think outside the box a little.

Good idea as far as it goes. Downside is that you can't see the work. 3/8" clear plexi would probably be better?
