: I HAVE GX260 1,8 Ghz P4, 1 Gb Ddr 1, nVidia fx 6200 TF 256 MB, hdd segate 40 Gb 6 years old and in perfect condition as the first day i bought it no BAD sectors thanks to GOOD ;).
Ok the models of DELL SFF optiplex the looks like this. are: 170L GX240 GX260 GX270 GX280 they are 2 other versions of GX: 260N 270N BUT THE MODEL IN FRONT OF U IN TE UTUBE VIDEO IS AN 170L BECOSE IS VERY VERY OLD THE CPU IS CELEORN I THINK THE POWER AS U CAN SEE IS VERY BIG AND HIGH, unlike 260 wich i have. that pc with tha kind of kooler has max 1 Ghz of CPU. AND IS SDR powerd :
Very rare Dell??? We have probably a million of them in three different sizes where I work. Optiplex models have the model printed on the ring around the power button. And cablesnmor fan prices are high not to mention discontinued. Outletpc has much better prices.
It wasn't worth getting a fan for this unit due to its age. This unit was a used unit that had some other minor problems and the client had used it for quite awhile not realizing the fan was bad so rather than taking the chance in something else go wrong, the client has a better computer.
Thank you very much for the information. Your reply is greatly appreciated. Thank you. I'll put a note in the video description saying that the model number has been identified.
nice vid i av a Q i have 2 hard disk drives and 1 has win xp , now i want to use the win xp 1 but i have took it out of another computer , is it possible to use the win xp hard drive without re-installing win xp ,every time i fit the hdd as master my pc comes on with the blck screen and white txt and then it says start windows normally n i press it but my computer jus restarts and takes me back to the screen where it reads all the drives can u help? i would be grateful if u could thnx wb
You can use the XP hard drive if it is a Genuine installation, meaning that it is not an OEM version. If you have an OEM version, then that could be the problem because the current Windows sees the hardware as a totally different PC (i.e. Gateway to a DELL). You may have to re-install the Windows XP software, but do not re-format the drive, this way you can retrieve the current files that you have. If any more problems, please feel free to ask more questions. Hope that helps.

This is not your "typical" computer.
It's a small form factor pc in dell's "optiplex" business line.

BTW..this dell model is part of the GX series. Either GX150,240,260 or 270 SFF. You can find the model number where the power button is located.
