You're saying that we should block driving into the arm rather than their whole body so that we're overpowering their arm with our bodyweight rather than matching bodyweight to bodyweight. I see your determination to preserve the art as Jimmy taught, but I think that your comments may be directed as a little condescending. Sorry!!
mgkya,When I see good san soo I will say it and I have,the good thing from my comments I have met intelligent people,so keep doing your bad kung fu,i.e. stepping into the punch and clashing or stepping to the side thinking you can move your body faster then a punch, myself I move the way jimmy taught me be in position before the punch is thrown! sss, disappointed a bad choice of a word for joking around! I don't know the Captain, but he seems to be going in the right direction with his san soo and his web site! From the vids on you tube and other web sites of san soo they seem to be going the wrong way. So what I'm saying lets not get personal because their are not too many people in san soo that understands san soo! If you can find a group of people then make that group of people bigger or the real san soo will die away!

When you received your master degree it doesn't read 8th degree, Jack and Harry has a certificate that reads 8th degree, when they reached the 9th degree level they received their master certificate. Jimmy was going to make the 9th degree level to received a master degree.
Take pictures of the certificates and post them on the forum. Otherwise, you will have to excuse me while I tell you that whether or not you are disappointed in me, doesn't concern me at all, what-so-ever. Jack Sera & Harry Sera were not the only TWO to receive an 8th Degree Black Belt (Master ranking) from Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo. I have a list compiled with 53 names on it; with a follow up question list with 12 more possible names on it.
Did Jack Sera train exclusively under Jimmy Woo from white belt to Master since 1963 until Jimmy's death? Are there any other first Generation Masters who trained ONLY under Jimmy Woo(from white belt all the way through to Master teaching in socal today?
took San Soo from Jack and Jimmy use to come in every so often...priceless!
There aren't too many people that understand the art like jack does...Wow! this brings back memories...
