it would be nice if the tabs are on top of the words of the song it would be easier to follow for a beginner like me...what is half step draw bend and one step draw bend...i can bend the notes a little but what does this words mean...thank you
@gooduserak In musical terms a half step draw bend is lowering the pitch of the draw note by a semi-tone and a one step draw bend is lowering the pitch by a whole tone. It is difficult to get these bends precise and needs lots of practice. The diatonic harmonica does not have all the notes of a scale available so it is necessary to learn how to bend notes if you want to play many songs. You can find videos on how to bend notes on youtube.
@danielbgabel Thanks. No, it's a standard diatonic harmonica but there are quite a lot of draw bends used to be able play the melody and hitting these on pitch is not all that easy. All the best.
your amazing on the harmonica, how did you learn? im planning to teach myself cos i wanna be as good as you, so think i'll start in the holidays before i have to go back to sixthformm :)
@Lisha506 Thanks for that. I started playing around the age of 15. I heard some guy at school playing blues harmonica and thought I must have a go at that. I played for quite a few years than packed in til recently and now I've got the bug again! It's a great instrument to play. Buy a Hohner Special 20 or similar and look for the free teaching vids on YouTube. I wish you luck!!
you're a terrific harmonica player! thanks to share the tabs with us. I'm a mexican boy and I'm starting with the harmonica. I Hope one day play so good as you do. Thanks and blessings!
@DeadheadBeatleman Hey thanks for that man. I started playing years ago and have recently taken it up again. Youtube is a great aid to helping you learn to play. There are many talented guys who have posted great instructional videos, such as Adam Gussow, Jason Ricci, Paul Lassey etc., Grab yourself a Hohner Golden Melody or a Suzuki Harpmaster in the key of C, search on You tube and have a go on this great little instrument. Cheers ♫G®€Ÿ ØWℓ♫
