  • Where have I been?

    Got any what?

    Who have I seen?

    I spy a May queen

    You were miles above me

    Girls in your arms

The changing of her majesty's guard is truly amazing

Such good lyrics... can't hold a candle to today's pop shit

  • i think the rolling stone original version she did is truly amazing!

  • one of my favorites from Whip-Smart

man, I almost forgot how much I love this song

  • She makes it look so easy....

  • mmmmmmm always loved this song.

  • i went through a period of time where i listened to my "whipsmart" cd all the time - then, i lost it and never bought another. and i think about it often. now i realize that my next purchase is going to be liz phair "whipsmart"!

  • I hated this CD when I first got it (only like supernova) and I even gave it away to my friend. I had it saved on my xbox though and once I relistened to it I realized how great it was. I really want it back badly. I'm totally buying off amazon or itunes like this week.

  • This is definitely her best song. Hands down...

  • @classicguru79

I think that "Uncle Alvarez" is the best thing she's ever done musically. WCSE doesn't have the rawness and passion of the first two albums, but some of the songs are immaculate.

  • F-G-C-Am

    C-Am-F-G

    that's all i know :P

  • Yeah, it's a great song. I always loved that it ended her second album. It's a great closer.

  • I love Liz Phair and think this is one of the best-written songs ever. I'm gonna try to figure out how to play it myself!
