good video :] i noticed a lot of the riders leanded up the neck expecting the horse to leave..thats the first thing i learned when i started jumping. sit back and if u feel the horse leaving go with him...that helps me so much at shows :)

@horseluver313 At that height you choose a distance and don't change your plan. You send the signal to the horse of the distance you planned out for it and you go with and don't change. That's why they lean forward, they see the distance and they go to it, it's complete trust in the horse to do what it's been taught to do.

ugh I've never understood it either! the only thing that is an actually legitimate excuse it they don't want the reins getting tangled up in their horse's legs. but you can get a running martingale for that.

he's not an idiot for turning, if the horse ran away with him while he was sitting in that position, he would have gotten REALLY hurt, he coul've been dragged!!!

Well if he would have stopped turning he wouldn't have fallen off! The horse stopped when he pulled back anyway and he just started turning out of no where! The only way he could have gotten dragged is if he was stupid enough to put more than the ball of his foot in the stirrup, then his foot would have gotten caught in the the stirrup, THEN he would have gotten drug. But since he is a professional Grand Prix rider, I don't think that would happen!!!
