Secondly, the ammunition that you show is US, not UK type. In particular, M193/196 ammo is designed to be used with M16/M16A1 rifles that use barrels with rifling twist of 1 per 12 inches. M855 and UK ammo use the NATO standardised SS109 bullet that wiegh's 4g rather than 3.56g, with a barrel with 1 in 7 rifling twist

The L98A2 is not 'ful auto' its semi automatic - everytime you pull the trigger it will fire a round without having to cock the weapon after each round.
@greggyinfantry L98A2 is introduced now, left hand cock, so all-new SAA and extra cleaning for the gas parts. But on the upside, semi-auto :D also, no making safe for EVERY bound in a section attack, now, just safety and run :D
Hiya people whats up just want to say i was a former member of the ACF and fired the SA80 ( cadet model) a number of times. I tryed to enlist in the Irish Guards when i was 18 but got turn down due to the fact i was too light 7stone 7 at the time i needed to be a minimum of 8stone. ( i was born with russel silver sindrom before any one makes a joke) which to be fair was a kick in the balls most of the men in my family have served there time in the forces at home or abroad.
You place your right hand on the pistol grip and your left hand on the rear grip for extra stability when prone. It brings the weapon in closer to the shoulder and reduces recoil, there is also (sometimes) a wire shoulder mount on the stock which you flip up and fits around the shoulder, again for more stability.

ive used one of these and id rather have a non-bullpup design tbh, it feels heavier to manuver and aim because all the weight is in the back, with a m16 or similar, you can hold and manuver it with 2 hands without pushing it against ur shoulder

so basicly they are DMRs with full auto capabilities.

Short Range Training Ammunition.
Its a round which, when fired goes a shorter distance.
SRTA can be used for any firing exercise of 25 meters or less.
SRTA can also be used for Urban Operations training.
It is mainly seen with the U.S. Army and the M16 has an adaption for this type of round.

OK, I have seen comments referring to the order of which the weapons are shown.
L85A1, L86(A2), L98A1, Then after that is the text for the A2 and a diagram
The order is *Text*first then *Photo* (Diagram)...

The M249 is an LMG and it uses the 5.56mm NATO Round...
Not all LMG's use the 7.62.
The Light Support Weapon, was seen as an LMG in its early days, but has become impractical.

@savage495 oh yeah i know lol sorry thought you were talking about the L85A2. silly me. although the LSW isn't really used as a fire support/machine gun type role anymore, as they have the Minimi for that. the LSW is used more as a marksman weapon instead because of the longer barrel and bipod.

ive used one of these and id rather have a non-bullpup design tbh, it feels heavier to manuver and aim because all the weight is in the back, with a m16 or similar, you can hold and manuver it with 2 hands without pushing it against ur shoulder

the L98 A2 is way better than the A1 cus when you do rifle drill with it you dont have the cocking handle in the way and fits nicely under your arm
