My gym has all hex plates as well, and they also annoy me while deadlifting. They have TWO round bumper plates in the entire gym, that are slightly larger than the hex plates. I always put them on first now as it fixes the problem.
dude iron grip pieces of shit hold me back like no other. i find it helps if you don't line them up like that, because all the points misaligned helps simulate an actual wheeled surface.
@YoCard Well, for a guy your size anything over 500 lbs raw is pretty close to national class. You can find the records for RAW lifts but typing in a query on google pretty easily.

find a power house, or underground gym....they should never have hex plates....most of the time you have to sacrifice cleanliness though lol.
