  • Guess i'm going to take it day by day... don't really know what Australia (going to Melbourne and Sidney) has to offer but there are most likely going to be some visits to museums, furniture stores, design offices and so on. Have been struggeling somewhat to come up with new and fresh designs lately so i'm definetly looking forward to some new inspiration. Once again, really liked the presentation!

  • can u upload video of ur works of a restaurant

  • Hi, I am not aware of what restaurant you are referring to.

Do you have a specific project you are referring to?

  • an A-Grade restaurant..plan,section,elevations,perspective..

  • i felt it was lacking color in some spaces

  • Hi, thanks for the comment, are you a student or a designer? Some of the spaces may lack colour, but the person who commissioned the designers may be responsible more than the designers for the lack of colour. My brief was to produce still images to movie for a portfolio presentation for the web and DVD, as the media producer I did find out some of the difficultieds faced by the design firm. I did learn that some of the site constraints create challenging projects for the designers.

  • Hey there, thanks for the comment, can you put it into context for me please?

I do not understand what you have said.

    Thanks - David

  • the architecture is more impressive than the interior design. There are way better thing that could have been done to those amazing spaces

  • Thanks for your comment. As media designer not the interior designer, I see the designers have not concealed the architecture, but designed the interior to be functional, warm and still reveal the excitement of the structure. Hence the spaces do look amazing. Some of these were very challenging projects & some had the WOW factor in the views. Having comments like . . amazing spaces & impressive architecture indicates rldesign achieved client & architects objectives.

  • aren't they somewhat related???

  • Nothing jumped out at me :S looks much like what everyone else is doing that these days

  • Do you always copy and paste the same reply to all comments?

I was not referring to the architecture or the views at all because they are obviously in prime locations and very spectacular (waterfront etc.) Rather I was in fact referring to the interior decorating or media design as you put it. With the opportunity to work on such beautiful spaces, I would think that your designs should look different to that of mainstream designers, but they dont? ...

  • Although you have aimed for a minimalist look, I don't believe you have achieved a "warm" feel at all. Basically, the rooms have not been designed to their full potential, when you look/walk into a room; it should be captivating, without being overwhelming and draw you in... fascinating décor and artworks that are out of the ordinary, something you have never seen before, a room that you could sit in and just stare at for hours. That is WOW factor in my opinion.

  • Having said all this, these are simply my opinions. You obviously have a strong client base so these designs must appeal to someone.

    Good luck with your designs.

  • Design, your closing comment-they must appeal to someone-sums up the meeting of commercial design, building code regulation, engineering and interior designer creativity. Add the client brief, budget constraints and international design trends . . not everything is in the designers control. Innovation & imagination may not be fully realised, but a commercial solution to meet the criteria, and look great is a job well done.

  • Hello again, thanks for following up your comments. I cut and pasted my responses as I did not know responses were a feature until yesterday. Being pressed for time and seeing the nature of the comments were similar-ish, I posted the comment where I thought it was in context. A matter of expediency I guess. I have not done so with my comments today :-)

  • Their design services are in demand with repeat & new clients, in property resale advertisements, interiors by rldesign features as a selling point for well thought out space planning, stylish interiors and quality fittings. Cheers! David

  • they do ok with already amazing spaces.
