I don't listen to enough music. I am going to start doing it though. I love news. I can listen to it all day and night but sometimes I need a change. I do listen to a fair amount of ear training materials but not real music. This kind of music so new it is difficult for me to comment on it. I will need several listenings. Tempo changes are obvious. There is a balance in the tempi between a steady beat and no beat, atonal and polytonal, tension and release. Interesting work. Best wishes.

very sorry that we do not know the talented author of this work ,is probably just outside of Armenia .It is a dramatic piece in the best traditions of Armenian classical, virtuoso orchestra, vonderful viola ,studies verified all the voices and seamlessly woven together.

Thanks for recommending this to me. I really enjoyed the piece. Hayrapetyan found a good balance between an atonal and polytonal structure that gave it a unique sound. I also liked the way he developed his ideas throughout the piece; very creative and powerful. It was a piece I wanted to hear a second and even a third time to discover all that he put into it. The performance was excellent. I look forward to hearing other work from Hayrapetyan.

I am really grateful for the recommendation. It is beautiful. @talMikeBismuth: I am really curious - how would a music that is not a bit derivative sound like? If anyone has an example from this century ... Well, maybe I am just too old, but it seems that everything I hear reminds me of sg :) I will listen to this piece again and again and that is more then enough for me. And I agree: excellent performence.
