Alot of you older, "Veterans" of weightlifting/Bodybuilding all have huge biceps, and they put it down to heavy preacher curls. Whenever I do them Its a different sort of feeling compared with standard barbell curls. It feels like tearing/stretching and my god, my arms are sore for about a week!

I have so many questions to ask because it looks to me like you did a couple things right while you were working out all those years. lol here we go.. Any supplements i should take (other than steriods)? How many days did you used to workout to gain that much size and was there any kind of set schedule for you workout? How do i incorportate bodybuilding/powerlifting into the same workout? bodybuilding=12rep range and powerlifting=3-5rep range? To many questions not enough room to write. hahaha

@cetricf Yea, I see some people in my gyms doing exercises wrong, form is so bad it's practically not funny... This one big dude I know only swings with toouch weight when he curls, and he does shit half reps with military presses, bench presses, squats, deadlifts, etc... And to make things worse, he does almost all of them in a smith machine, once again, using too much weight.
@IncredibleHulkRobert I have nothing against smith machine, it has its place, but when you don't do free weights or go full range of motion, you're bound to get talked about very badly... Also, he's nowhere even as big and lean as me and he's a little heavier... You still have way cleaner form than him, and you're way stronger and have way more muscle for being 52! Props to you, once again.
@IncredibleHulkRobert As you know, he is wasting his TIME. Unless he is roided up, then they seem to be able to make gains no matter what type of reps they do. but natural guys benefit from FULL RANGE OF MOTION which hits the muscles down to it's core, and stresses it ALL ALONG THE MUSCLE from insertion point to attachment point. It's better to lesson the weight and perform the excercise with good form.

The form was NOT perfect, you are correct, but please consider the amout of weight, and compare it to say this guy who calls himself Big Cliff, he is a JOKE, and I have told him so. @xSubZeRov Have you ever heard of 'OVERLOAD' training? if not maybe you haven't been lifting as long as I thought. Overload involves lifting heavy weights, more than you can manage with perfect form in the beginning, but by continually moving the weight, in sometime partial movements but without the aid of a spotter, you are STILL taxing your muscles beyond what otherwise can be accomplished with ordinary training. TRY IT SOMETIME. I've used it with GREAT SUCCESS. 3 world strict curl records.
@xSubZeRov Very Good, you should never accept something just because somebody told you it works, TRY IT for yourself and then you will know if it works FOR YOU. There is no ONE method that works for everybody, we are all different, different in strength and anatomical make up. This is an effective way to gain MASS in the biceps for MOST people, but not ALL. All I can say is YOU give it a shot for 3 months and see if your bi's don't grow. Thanks for watchin!

GOD decides who will be born with good genetics, I've always been cursed with "Boney" calves, but I don't let it stop me from TRYING, take what God has given you, and make the BEST OF IT!! Being Black is something I've ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF, I think everyone should be proud of WHATEVER race they are, but being proud and being PREJUDICE are NOT the same. There are VERY STRONG ASIANS trust me on that, and they are some of the best bodybuilders on earth. Anthony Clark, one of the strongest men in History, is Phillipino, so like I said EVERY race has strong men in it, INCLUDING ASIANS, I'll bet anything your calves are better than mine!

This is simply incredible, I totally idol you man. I weight 175 pounds, 6'1 and have a 16 inch biceps, now im incredibally strong especially with my back. The most I preacher curl was 165. I never thought I found somebody pass me but man you made me look like a rookie man LOL, Im post a video of me doing least one rep. i wasnt sure it was possible to preacher curl two 45 plates without roids, this so cool, thats my goal so far i can do only 4 reps of 1 single 45 plate on each side!

@cetricf Your welcome mate, for years I was acused of taking roids and it didnt matter how much i swore i didnt take them no one would believe it, even my closest mates wouldnt believe it. And I think it was because they didnt believe in themselves enough to know they could get big without them. It got very frustrating for me to know all my natural hard work was being blamed on roids. But you know what? In the end I didnt care because I knew within myself I hadnt taken them!!

Hello C.T. I have been working out for a big now, I concentrate mostly on chest and arms. I have noticed a lot of change with my chest, but my arms haven't changed nearly as much as I want them to. What would you say the best exercises for the bicepts are? Top 3?
@goingfor1000 No 1. Standing straigh bar curls, they force you to keep you palms facing upwards, anytime that happens you are working ALL biceps. No. 2. Preacher curls, the force you to use nothing but biceps. No. 3. Alternate dumbell curls, assures you place just as much stress on one bicep as you do the other, also you can handle some big weight with all these excercizes, and big weight equals big strength, big strength equals mass, Mass IS Size and SIZE IS GOOD....

@Airbornerock the point is knowing you can do it. If you know you can do 105 twice then keep training see if you can't do it 3 times the next time. I try pushing myself further and further each time and this is my first year seriously training not halfassed attempts every 6 months when you go to a friends or family members place.

When I train, if I can only do 105 twice then I'm going to load up 95 and do it until I atleast make it to 35 or 25 reps in a row non stop. Then maybe go to 100 and do the same. I have so many questions to ask because it looks to me like you did a couple things right while you were working out all those years. lol here we go.. Any supplements i should take (other than steriods)? How many days did you used to workout to gain that much size and was there any kind of set schedule for you workout? How do i incorportate bodybuilding/powerlifting into the same workout? bodybuilding=12rep range and powerlifting=3-5rep range? To many questions not enough room to write. hahaha

@cetricf Yea, I see some people in my gyms doing exercises wrong, form is so bad it's practically not funny... This one big dude I know only swings with toouch weight when he curls, and he does shit half reps with military presses, bench presses, squats, deadlifts, etc... And to make things worse, he does almost all of them in a smith machine, once again, using too much weight.

Also, he's nowhere even as big and lean as me and he's a little heavier... You still have way cleaner form than him, and you're way stronger and have way more muscle for being 52! Unless he is roided up, then they seem to be able to make gains no matter what type of reps they do. but natural guys benefit from FULL RANGE OF MOTION which hits the muscles down to it's core, and stresses it ALL ALONG THE MUSCLE from insertion point to attachment point. It's better to lesson the weight and perform the excercise with good form.

@xSubZeRov Have you ever heard of 'OVERLOAD' training? if not maybe you haven't been lifting as long as I thought. Overload involves lifting heavy weights, more than you can manage with perfect form in the beginning, but by continually moving the weight, in sometime partial movements but without the aid of a spotter, you are STILL taxing your muscles beyond what otherwise can be accomplished with ordinary training. TRY IT SOMETIME. I've used it with GREAT SUCCESS. 3 world strict curl records.

@xSubZeRov Very Good, you should never accept something just because somebody told you it works, TRY IT for yourself and then you will know if it works FOR YOU. There is no ONE method that works for everybody, we are all different, different in strength and anatomical make up. This is an effective way to gain MASS in the biceps for MOST people, but not ALL. All I can say is YOU give it a shot for 3 months and see if your bi's don't grow. Thanks for watchin!

And I think it was because they didnt believe in themselves enough to know they could get big without them. It got very frustrating for me to know all my natural hard work was being blamed on roids. But you know what? In the end I didnt care because I knew within myself I hadnt taken them!!

Man you are one big dude!! I find inspiration in watching older blokes lift, Im 38 now and was once a 6"7' 145kg gym rat. After 12months off im back in the gym growing again, My arms at their biggest were 21' so looking at your vid has given me extra incentive CHEERS!!

Hello C.T. I have been working out for a big now, I concentrate mostly on chest and arms. I have noticed a lot of change with my chest, but my arms haven't changed nearly as much as I want them to. What would you say the best exercises for the bicepts are? Top 3?

@goingfor1000 No 1. Standing straigh bar curls, they force you to keep you palms facing upwards, anytime that happens you are working ALL biceps. No. 2. Preacher curls, the force you to use nothing but biceps. No. 3. Alternate dumbell curls, assures you place just as much stress on one bicep as you do the other, also you can handle some big weight with all these excercizes, and big weight equals big strength, big strength equals mass, Mass IS Size and SIZE IS GOOD....

@dingdongmalice that's not curling, that's doing it wrong. they're posture is wrong and they don't extend their arms fully.

I am very impressed !!! Loved your video,I will be 50 yrs old myself in a few weeks & am 6"5" 265 lbs ....trying to get strong again after a long layoff. Curls were my favorite & I use to be able to cheat curl 315 lbs. God bless you, you are a true champion. Thanks for the inspiration.

A 315 cheat curl means you were VERY strong, don't let your age hold you back, later this year I will be attempting to break a record I set in 93', i figured since these kids wont do it the ol man will just have to come back and do it hisself. Hopefully this coming year I will be able to reach your preacher curl weight. I am currently repping out 75 to 95 pounds on the preacher curl but have managed 105 pounds twice.

@PoeticDeathJuggajugs Whats the point of 105 twice? Do 95 25 times, then try 30 and then you might be able to do 102 for 10 times

@Airbornerock the point is knowing you can do it. If you know you can do 105 twice then keep training see if you can't do it 3 times the next time. I try pushing myself further and further each time and this is my first year seriously training not halfassed attempts every 6 months when you go to a friends or family members place.

When I train, if I can only do 105 twice then I'm going to load up 95 and do it until I atleast make it to 35 or 25 reps in a row non stop. Then maybe go to 100 and do the same. I'm just giving you an idea dude
