helo, thx for the video since Iam going to use it for my class performance. one question. I have 3 violins and 1 viola, so can I play the cello part with a viola?

yes i should think so... some bits may be a bit low so you would have to transpose them up an octave e.g. the F# in bar 4, and you might want to change the clef to alto to make it easier for the viola player to read

My quartet has 2 violins, a viola, and a cello...if we use the viola part instead of the 3rd violin part would it still sound the same?? i know that was probably a stupid question, but I'm kinda just wondering...

@CPfangirl435 lucky you :) good question...i tried to keep the viola and 3rd violin part the same as possible, however some of the octaves may be lower on the viola

i have now put a viola pdf link in the description :)

basically, if you have a music software program like sibelius you can just copy the violin part into the alto clef . it may sound different because i had to change some of the octaves so viola does't have to play too high.
