Excellent self-assessment for an American band and very prospective regarding to the time of the release of suffer. And not less up-to-date nowadays.One of the best songs ever by BR.

I thought suffer was one of the best produced punk recordings of all time. No control a close second. against the grain was weaksauce. it was a sound for an era that was over before it even started.

first, history repeats itself, although menkind should be able (in theorie) to do better.

second, if we are really that dumb and just dont want to learn, maybe its best that we're all gonna die.

you can tell they've lost a step because of songs like this. this is simple, provocative, and clever without leaving out a jot of the secular humanism that makes the band unique. I think nowadays their lyrics are too wordy

It's superficial progress, they call it liberation! Bad Religion saves me on those long flights. Punk will never die as long as they are around.
