I've decided. I don't like you and having to write a 1500 word essay on these videos repulses every single bone in my body. As an agnostic, i think you should all realise that the bible preaches to accept everyone? This video proves you're a homophobic ass who doesn't accept anything but your own beliefs. Take yourself out of your box and live a little.
Focus on sin you will sin. Focus on devotion and sin will not be predominate. The world is depraved in the dark and Todd keeps thinking the depraved should act differently. The world has the prince of the power of the air as a master why would you expect a difference. I'm rather surprised when the ungodly don't act according to nature.
@kit2ng219 The number of wind mills in the world have been increasing for the past few hundred years. At the same time, the global temperature has been increasing. Therefore, to combat global warming, we need to get rid of wind mills!
Number 5 which Todd thinks is perfectly acceptable.... And this is what results when you take the bibles advice for disciplining of children.... Keep in mind this is exactly what the bible prescribes: watch?v=MrjX55KF3ZQ
@jwissick I was spanked all the way up and it never hurt me once. I have an immense amount of discipline and self-drive, and my college professors are very happy about that, believe me. In fact, I am very happy I was raised with such strictness.
@ddrninjette Oh, the other thing I should mention is that I met a few well-adjusted people who had seriously abusive parents. Lots of hitting, smacking, bruising, drunken outbursts, etc... Like I said, they turned out just well, but it doesn't make it right. I would beg every one here never to use physical violence of any form against anyone! Especially your children!!! There are more loving ways to treat others and raise your children.
@HoParoikos *ahem* Slapping people is violence. I would ask you not to slap people. It's not that nice nor respectful to inflict physical pain upon another person.
Sometimes, when kids dont act so nice, parents have to show them what that looks like...by not acting so "nice" themselves. Theres nothing wrong with spanking a child as long as its done in a reasonable way...and as long as the child is always made aware that his/her parents love him/her.
You raise your kids your way and others can raise them their way. If you dont understand discipline, that will be your downfall...and perhaps your children's downfall too. Seems to me that ever since the "sparing of the rod" mentality was instituted, there is far more crime and violence in schools and society. Go figure. A loving, disciplined, respectful, consistent home is the best way to raise a child...its best for society. Children need to learn the fear of consequence.
@SeaWolfe59 Interesting. I didn't realize how beneficial spanking is in making a child peaceful especially considering extensive studies have shown spanking raises a child's overall aggressiveness.
Im sure those studies are *completely* unbiased and are performed by only non-liberal, objective researchers that only want to get to the *truth*. How many studies like these have been proven to have holes in their approach?
@SeaWolfe59 You don't seem to trust science. You instantly assume there's a crazy, liberal conspiracy without knowing anything about any of said studies. I don't see the point of linking to sources.
@ddrninjette except your an atheist trolling a christian video religiously, posting deceptively "nice" sounding but obviously very condescending comments. oh, and did I mention you often defend a vitriolic hate-spreading troll (jwissick)? what do you expect from people when you come up on their videos and post nonsense?
@HoParoikos Sorry you feel that way. I can assure you, there's no deception going on here there. And you should know that Wissick is a personal friend of mine. I don't always defend him, but when I do it's because I know him pretty well and that he is a nice guy. I have a lot of respect for him. That's not to say I don't respect everyone else here; I do. But since I know Jim so well, I know what comments are justified and what are not.
Sorry if any of my past comments came off the wrong way.
@HoParoikos I really don't want to be condescending. I try my very best not to be judgmental. However, I cannot condone violence nor hate. I've never said that I'm better than anyone. I'm not. But when I see people post hateful things, I have a choice to either be quiet about it or speak up. I think it's important to speak up against hate and violence. That's all. Don't take that as me being condescending when I say things like please don't use violence against a child. It is out of concern.
@123MrBurg doesn't matter. Your god is immoral. I don't have to answer to him as my standards are superior. Strange that your 10 commandments that buggering little kids and slavery isn't listed there... In fact 4 of them are just stroking your gods ego. Yu can't point to the 10 commandments as a moral standard and expect to be taken seriously.
I would say that throwing any bottle in a creek is a sin, not deadly though... You can repent and pick it up, at least pick it up after somebody else.

@jwissick - lol! I'm sorry, but I couldn't get past the profound and hilarious irony of both the background monastery set (complete with cross!) and the "warmer than usual" temperature of the room.
As an environmentalist myself, if someone made a game called "7 ways to kill the planet" in which players are encouraged to act out "silly and outrageous environmental disasters," then I would get a good laugh as long as it was done in good fun. :)
I would die on the floor laughing if the first suggestion was, "Throw a plastic water bottle into a creek." LOL!
J. Wissick... By whose standards is he "being a jerk" then? Yours? We have seen how low your standards are and reject them for a higher one, one that saves.
@123MrBurg " J. Wissick... By whose standards is he "being a jerk" then? Yours? We have seen how low your standards are and reject them for a higher one, one that saves." I was thinking the same thing. Someone is trying to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps!
@jwissick Wrong again (no surprise). You assume too much with your accusations. Whatever "moral guide" you refer to has no better standing with God than you do.
@jwissick James, my hope and prayer is that you will come to taste the goodness of the Lord. The sad thing is that while you go off blaspheming him and shaking your fist in arrogance, he is still the one who enables you to even speak and think and have life. You coulnd't even curse him without his blessings! But there is hope even for the worst of blasphemers, like Saul of Tarsus. May God change your heart, have a nice day.I hope you come to be honest with truth.
@GodLovesUs100 - James got schooled (by me, if I may be so bold) about the issues of slavery and genocide in the Bible a short time ago. He, of course, pretends that it never happened and continues to spew his nonsense.
@JMcH And I have no doubt he did. But this James is a lost and poor soul, an enemy of the cross of Christ. It is just so sad. I say this in all love here brother, I don't think our boasting should be in our winning of arguments, but only in the saving power of Jesus Christ. We all were like James once but the Lord had mercy on us and showed us grace we didn't deserve.Let us seek to do likewise to others.
@jwissick - Like I said, you're pretending it never happened. I presented arguments based on verified history and solid facts. All you presented was pure, bare denial.
@jwissick - You see, James, there is a difference between assertion and argument. You provide a lot of the former, but nothing of the latter. You make assertions like "God endorses slavery," but you never actually make arguments. Then, when someone like me does make arguments to prove you completely wrong, you just pretend like nothing happened and continue to make assertions like "You're lying." You're a prime example of why atheists rarely debate Christians and why they never win.
@jwissick he already has told you through his word. And all people have a measure of light through creation and conscience, so that none is without excuse.May the Lord give you grace. The fact that you come on here and oppose the truth the way you do shows insecurity on your part and the hatred all the unregenerate have towards the truth of God.Thus you yourself are proof of what we have been saying all along. But there is still hope in Jesus for you.
@GodLovesUs100 There is NO evidence to say the bible is inspired by god.
Seriously, why would an omnipotent all knowing god choose a BOOK to communicate his most important message to mankind. A book with NO original copies and of which 99% of it is written by anonymous authors. It's absurd and doesn't even pass the smell test.
@jwissick .The Bible has been attacked by skeptics like no other book, but has withstood the tests and no one has been able to discredit it. No visual thing will make you believe since this is an issue of the heart. If you reject God's word, you will always reject him no matter what you see(unless your heart is supernaturally changed) just like Abraham said to the rich man, if they don't hear Moses and the Prophets, they won't be conviced if one were to rise from the dead.
@jwissick It's not rejected for intellectual reasons, but moral ones.No one has ever been able to give proof that is it not inspired or imperfect, in fact, many who have tried to do this ended up converting to Christianity in the end.But because the unregenerate heart hates the truth of God, unbelievers must attack the word with full force.
@jwissick There have been many examples of what I said. And no true Christian will ever leave the faith(1 John 2:19). True-saving faith cannot be destroyed, but those who leave only demonstrate they do not know God and thus, instead of understanding and accepting what the Bible says in truth in purity, they reject it, fristly without even a proper understanding but also with a mindset that exalts itself above God.
@jwissick You claim your morals are superior to God's, yet you lie all the time. You claim you are against rape yet lust fills your mind and soul. You speak of genocide as if you are free from that, yet turn a blind eye to those that suffer from it. Face it, you are a loser like the rest of us, just not saved from God's wrath. Your slavery comment is so lame, it has no weight in the debate. You are going to hell, Jimmy boy. Hurry up with that, we need the space for a new church.
@jwissick > This is a recording *click* this is a recording *click* That is all I hear from you, no substance, just lies and trickery. Whatever strawman god you have created just to destroy in public is of no concern to me. You have no idea "what god" I follow, you have never met Him. All you have done is parrot what all the other losers have been parroting. When someone attempts to show you the truth, you reject it for the lie. Do you feel a burning sensation yet?
@jwissick I claim for the record that God's moral standard is perfect. Everything else is of a lower, corrupted standard. You have no moral standard, I have seen the tripe you have posted on other pages. God's standard is "never tell any lie"... you lose right there. Sit down and shut up.
@jwissick Stick to the 10 commandments first, we can get to those other rabbit trails later. Ever tell a lie? How about stealing? Lusted in your heart? You know the drill. Fess up (to God, not me) turn from those ways and follow Jesus.
@jwissick - "You follow a "god" that orders hatred, slavery, genocide, murder, and misogyny."
That's quite a funny statement coming from someone who was recently caught red-handed practicing hate and misogyny against as well as advocating the murder of a Christian woman in Africa.
@JMcH ANd your support and defense of this woman who actively takes part in the distraction of innocent children's lives removes all possibility of you claiming moral high ground.
@jwissick - "Distraction?" I'm sure you meant "destruction." Similar, but not so much as to be explained away as a typo.
In any case, no, James, she does not and has never taken part in the destruction of any child's life. She has never raised a hand against a child nor ordered anyone else to do so.
"Go back to the kiddy table. "
You sure like your memes, don't you, James. Hint: they don't take the place of valid arguments, much as you want them to.
@jwissick - Yeah, I think I put paid to those charges the other time you made them, James. No surprise that you are just vomiting them up again as if you didn't receive that thrashing before. "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly" (Proverbs 26:11).
@JMcH You are free to argue your position to someone about whether or not they should have an abortion, but to keep someone from having an abortion is just... wrong. Like it or not, they have the legal right to make that decision for themselves. I can argue all day long that people shouldn't smoke, but if I were to physically restrain someone from smoking somehow, then I should be ashamed of myself.
@ddrninjette Unfortunately, you appear to be viewing things through what you believe to be peoples' rights - based on what secular society dictates what is right / wrong. When you view things through the Cross however, everything changes. Abortion is not a "right" nor is it ok because society says so. It is wrong because God says it is murder. EVERYTHING should be looked at through the Cross, not through what people believe to be a right or what they believe is right / wrong.
@scw060808 Actually, we live in a country where rights are given regardless of one's moral objection or approval. The right to free speech, for example, shall not be abridged no matter how immoral you believe racist speech should be, for example.
Abortion is a right as declared by the Supreme Court of the United States, as are many things I find to be morally wrong.
Besides, God doesn't say it's murder. Abortion is specifically suggested within the Bible. See Ecclesiastes 6:3-5. *shrug*
@ddrninjette At one time our nation said we had the right to own slaves, therefore by your argument slave ownership was right. FAIL. Murder is murder no matter how you dress it up. Also, I urge you to be very cautious when using Scripture (God's Holy Word) for you clearly do not understand context and have perverted HIS Word. You still view things based on what YOU think is right, on what You feel is best. That makes it all about YOU and none about HIM! YOU nullified what HE did on the cross!
@scw060808 And the bible says what about slavery again? Oh yeah, it endorses it. FAIL. What does it say about genocide? God LOVES genocide! He commands it right and left!
@jwissick Firstly, you evidently do not understand what slavery was in BIBLICAL times, you compare to modern times which are not the same. Secondly, what you call genocide - and I must assume you refer to OT times - was the pouring out of God's wrath against idol worshippers and deviates. It is perfectly clear that you fail to grasp the Holiness of God and the total depravity of man. Therefore are unable to understand how lost you are without God and why you cant know what 1 Cor 1:18 means.
@scw060808 I don't care when it was. It's immoral. PERIOD. No exceptions.
If god has wrath to spill out, let him do his own wet work instead of sending tribal people to do it.... Or is he too good to get his hands dirty? Or was it tribal people doing their own agenda under the guise of orders from god?
@jwissick I will keep HIM. I will worship HIM. I will die for HIM. What is that you live for? Yourself? How empty and sad your life must be. I once was lost as you. Not knowing why I existed, always asking myself "is this all there is?" I do feel for you james. You shield your pain, despair and loneliness by attacking that which you can not comprehend. And because you can not comprehend, it bothers you. Deep down you ask yourself "why don't I get it?" and react the only way you know how.
@scw060808 Not a sad life. I am quite happy. I know why I exist. I choose my own path in life. I don't live for the myths of a book that is 100% wrong every time it tries to comment on reality. I don't follow a mythical god that suffers from the worst personality disorders we can imagine.
I do get it. The answer just is one that you are too scared to accept so you run back to the musings of ignorant ancients.
@scw060808 BTW, no one EVER has the right to own another human being. If you disagree you just pick up your chair and go back to the children's table because you have no ground to talk about morals in that case.
jwissick No, you are not happy & it's evident you don't have joy in your life nor is there any peace in you. I see through you. You know it I know it. Little did you realize I've been reading your posts for several months now. I know your pain and your loneliness, because I was once like you. I realize how difficult it is to let go of the hurt and guilt - because that's all that makes sense to you and life seem worthwhile. But what you think of as freedom is actually what keeps you in bondage.
You are simply wrong and can't accept that someone is completely content and happy without believing in your myths. Deal with it. You don't have a monopoly on the way to happiness.
@scw060808 "At one time our nation said we had the right to own slaves, therefore by your argument slave ownership was right."
No, you fail to understand my point. Using your slave example, if US citizens have a right to keep slaves, then you don't have the authority to deny someone that right no matter how morally justified you may be. Does that make sense?
@ddrninjette Without an understanding of how to view life through the Cross of Christ, your view will always be askew. You have a wordly view and not a Godly view. I would encourage you to read God's Word, speak to followers of Jesus Christ and allow them to explain how Christ viewed the world. Maybe His word will speak to you so that you may see things through His death, burial and resurrection. Until then, your view will remain worldly. BTW, it's evident in all of posts. Goodbye and God bless
@scw060808 I've already done all you suggest, SCW. Thank you. I am glad, however, that my worldly worldview is evident in my posts. :) I do see myself as a worldly person.
@ddrninjette Your vast knowledge of your Biblical studies should have taught you that as Christians we are not to be "of the world" nor or we to be joined to worldly things. By your comments you just verified that you are not a Christian, as you are "a worldly person". By being this "worldly person" you have put enmity between you and God. It is evident that you have absolutely NO understanding of Christianity nor what it means to be a disciple of Christ.

Seriously, why would an omnipotent all knowing god choose a BOOK to communicate his most important message to mankind. A book with NO original copies and of which 99% of it is written by anonymous authors. It's absurd and doesn't even pass the smell test.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick .The Bible has been attacked by skeptics like no other book, but has withstood the tests and no one has been able to discredit it. No visual thing will make you believe since this is an issue of the heart. If you reject God's word, you will always reject him no matter what you see(unless your heart is supernaturally changed) just like Abraham said to the rich man, if they don't hear Moses and the Prophets, they won't be conviced if one were to rise from the dead.
GodLovesUs100 6 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 Hardly.
the ONLY people who accept it are minority of christians. No one else accepts it as a valid commentary on nature or history.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick It's not rejected for intellectual reasons, but moral ones.No one has ever been able to give proof that is it not inspired or imperfect, in fact, many who have tried to do this ended up converting to Christianity in the end.But because the unregenerate heart hates the truth of God, unbelievers must attack the word with full force.
GodLovesUs100 6 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 ROFL! Most exchristians became atheists because they actually read the bible and learned how violent and ugly your god really is.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick There have been many examples of what I said. And no true Christian will ever leave the faith(1 John 2:19). True-saving faith cannot be destroyed, but those who leave only demonstrate they do not know God and thus, instead of understanding and accepting what the Bible says in truth in purity, they reject it, fristly without even a proper understanding but also with a mindset that exalts itself above God.
GodLovesUs100 6 months ago
@jwissick you're violent and ugly too.

123MrBurg 6 months ago
@123MrBurg You are confusing "lies" with statements you don't agree with. Too bad.
You follow a "god" that orders hatred, slavery, genocide, murder, and misogyny. You have no ground to stand on when it comes to morals.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick > This is a recording *click* this is a recording *click* That is all I hear from you, no substance, just lies and trickery. Whatever strawman god you have created just to destroy in public is of no concern to me. You have no idea "what god" I follow, you have never met Him. All you have done is parrot what all the other losers have been parroting. When someone attempts to show you the truth, you reject it for the lie. Do you feel a burning sensation yet?
123MrBurg 6 months ago
@123MrBurg And you still can't claim that the bible's morals are superior. No need to change my argument, it's simply more valid than your claim.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick I claim for the record that God's moral standard is perfect. Everything else is of a lower, corrupted standard. You have no moral standard, I have seen the tripe you have posted on other pages. God's standard is "never tell any lie"... you lose right there. Sit down and shut up.
123MrBurg 6 months ago
@123MrBurg Then you think genocide, slavery, killing people who pick up sticks on Sunday, and killing rape victims is moral?
You disgust me.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick Stick to the 10 commandments first, we can get to those other rabbit trails later. Ever tell a lie? How about stealing? Lusted in your heart? You know the drill. Fess up (to God, not me) turn from those ways and follow Jesus.
123MrBurg 6 months ago
@jwissick - "You follow a "god" that orders hatred, slavery, genocide, murder, and misogyny."
That's quite a funny statement coming from someone who was recently caught red-handed practicing hate and misogyny against as well as advocating the murder of a Christian woman in Africa.
JMcH 6 months ago
@JMcH ANd your support and defense of this woman who actively takes part in the distraction of innocent children's lives removes all possibility of you claiming moral high ground.
Go back to the kiddy table.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick - "Distraction?" I'm sure you meant "destruction." Similar, but not so much as to be explained away as a typo.
In any case, no, James, she does not and has never taken part in the destruction of any child's life. She has never raised a hand against a child nor ordered anyone else to do so.
"Go back to the kiddy table. "
You sure like your memes, don't you, James. Hint: they don't take the place of valid arguments, much as you want them to.

You're killing me with irony, James! Stop it!
JMcH 6 months ago
@jwissick - Yeah, I think I put paid to those charges the other time you made them, James. No surprise that you are just vomiting them up again as if you didn't receive that thrashing before. "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly" (Proverbs 26:11).

@justcallmesolo haha yeah. people hate homeschoolers for some reason...probably because most of them are so christ-centered.

@JMcH You are free to argue your position to someone about whether or not they should have an abortion, but to keep someone from having an abortion is just... wrong. Like it or not, they have the legal right to make that decision for themselves. I can argue all day long that people shouldn't smoke, but if I were to physically restrain someone from smoking somehow, then I should be ashamed of myself.
ddrninjette 6 months ago
@ddrninjette Unfortunately, you appear to be viewing things through what you believe to be peoples' rights - based on what secular society dictates what is right / wrong. When you view things through the Cross however, everything changes. Abortion is not a "right" nor is it ok because society says so. It is wrong because God says it is murder. EVERYTHING should be looked at through the Cross, not through what people believe to be a right or what they believe is right / wrong.
scw060808 6 months ago 2
@scw060808 Actually, we live in a country where rights are given regardless of one's moral objection or approval. The right to free speech, for example, shall not be abridged no matter how immoral you believe racist speech should be, for example.
Abortion is a right as declared by the Supreme Court of the United States, as are many things I find to be morally wrong.
Besides, God doesn't say it's murder. Abortion is specifically suggested within the Bible. See Ecclesiastes 6:3-5. *shrug*
ddrninjette 6 months ago
@ddrninjette At one time our nation said we had the right to own slaves, therefore by your argument slave ownership was right. FAIL. Murder is murder no matter how you dress it up. Also, I urge you to be very cautious when using Scripture (God's Holy Word) for you clearly do not understand context and have perverted HIS Word. You still view things based on what YOU think is right, on what You feel is best. That makes it all about YOU and none about HIM! YOU nullified what HE did on the cross!
scw060808 6 months ago
@scw060808 And the bible says what about slavery again? Oh yeah, it endorses it. FAIL. What does it say about genocide? God LOVES genocide! He commands it right and left!
You can keep that god. He's not worth it.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick Firstly, you evidently do not understand what slavery was in BIBLICAL times, you compare to modern times which are not the same. Secondly, what you call genocide - and I must assume you refer to OT times - was the pouring out of God's wrath against idol worshippers and deviates. It is perfectly clear that you fail to grasp the Holiness of God and the total depravity of man. Therefore are unable to understand how lost you are without God and why you cant know what 1 Cor 1:18 means.
scw060808 6 months ago
@scw060808 I don't care when it was. It's immoral. PERIOD. No exceptions.
If god has wrath to spill out, let him do his own wet work instead of sending tribal people to do it.... Or is he too good to get his hands dirty? Or was it tribal people doing their own agenda under the guise of orders from god?
Weak.
jwissick 6 months ago
@jwissick I will keep HIM. I will worship HIM. I will die for HIM. What is that you live for? Yourself? How empty and sad your life must be. I once was lost as you. Not knowing why I existed, always asking myself "is this all there is?" I do feel for you james. You shield your pain, despair and loneliness by attacking that which you can not comprehend. And because you can not comprehend, it bothers you. Deep down you ask yourself "why don't I get it?" and react the only way you know how.
scw060808 6 months ago
@scw060808 Not a sad life. I am quite happy. I know why I exist. I choose my own path in life. I don't live for the myths of a book that is 100% wrong every time it tries to comment on reality. I don't follow a mythical god that suffers from the worst personality disorders we can imagine.
I do get it. The answer just is one that you are too scared to accept so you run back to the musings of ignorant ancients.
jwissick 6 months ago
@scw060808 BTW, no one EVER has the right to own another human being. If you disagree you just pick up your chair and go back to the children's table because you have no ground to talk about morals in that case.
jwissick 6 months ago
jwissick No, you are not happy & it's evident you don't have joy in your life nor is there any peace in you. I see through you. You know it I know it. Little did you realize I've been reading your posts for several months now. I know your pain and your loneliness, because I was once like you. I realize how difficult it is to let go of the hurt and guilt - because that's all that makes sense to you and life seem worthwhile. But what you think of as freedom is actually what keeps you in bondage.
scw060808 6 months ago
@scw060808 Do you know me? No.
You are simply wrong and can't accept that someone is completely content and happy without believing in your myths. Deal with it. You don't have a monopoly on the way to happiness.
jwissick 6 months ago
@scw060808 "At one time our nation said we had the right to own slaves, therefore by your argument slave ownership was right."
No, you fail to understand my point. Using your slave example, if US citizens have a right to keep slaves, then you don't have the authority to deny someone that right no matter how morally justified you may be. Does that make sense?
ddrninjette 6 months ago
@ddrninjette Without an understanding of how to view life through the Cross of Christ, your view will always be askew. You have a wordly view and not a Godly view. I would encourage you to read God's Word, speak to followers of Jesus Christ and allow them to explain how Christ viewed the world. Maybe His word will speak to you so that you may see things through His death, burial and resurrection. Until then, your view will remain worldly. BTW, it's evident in all of posts. Goodbye and God bless
scw060808 6 months ago
@scw060808 I've already done all you suggest, SCW. Thank you. I am glad, however, that my worldly worldview is evident in my posts. :) I do see myself as a worldly person.
ddrninjette 6 months ago
@ddrninjette Your vast knowledge of your Biblical studies should have taught you that as Christians we are not to be "of the world" nor or we to be joined to worldly things. By your comments you just verified that you are not a Christian, as you are "a worldly person". By being this "worldly person" you have put enmity between you and God. It is evident that you have absolutely NO understanding of Christianity nor what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
