  • Amazing video for a magic song, congrats!!!

  • the best

  • The anthem for all that is good

  • If someone know a epic video on youtube with this track on, like a sad or epic moment in a movie, PLEASE PM ME! Love this kind of choir songs!

  • i love this song i adore it like if u agree

  • just amazing...

  • This music and the pictures really take me beyond everywhere! Its simply perfect

  • Where do i know this song from?

  • @zmajjbt Hi I think that this was used in the UK in a Delta Airlines TV commercial.

  • I love this so much! It reaminds me of the days when I visited my love so far away, they had a tv commercial with this music. Miss those days..

  • i searched the whole FUCKING internet for this... thank god.. here it is x.x

  • I want this played in my funeral. :D

  • epic

  • The series of albums is called Adiemus, as well as one of the tracks in the first album, the componist is Karl Jenkins and the original version was sung by Miriam Stockley and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra with additional performers and a project choral group conducted by Jenkins

Is it the project choral group that is called Adiemus?

  • @yueyume This song is the song that made Karl Jenkins' Adiemus project famous. However, this particular song is a version that was released on Miriam Stockley's most recent solo album "Eternal." In this version, she does all of the vocals herself (whereas in the original versions she was the lead singer, accompanied by Jenkins' choral group.)

  • @prosperitycraft In the description you said "..by the group Adiemus". I was just wondering if you ment the project choral group

  • the lead singers pronounciation in this seems odd, compared to the so called "enya" version - can anyone explain? if this person sung it why is her pronounciation different to the other version... :)

  • @MukeshPandya1985 The other version of this song was sung by Miriam Stockley as the lead singer, but she had a choir with her. In this version, Miriam Stockley does all of the voices. Also, the other version was done a good 15 years ago or so, which might make a difference in the way it sounds.

  • @MukeshPandya1985

its not different, they have used different effects on the vocal is all. Miriam sang everything originally. A Choir was only used in live performances, on the recordng its all one woman!

  • i prefer this version than the other of enya, because it's more rythmic and the pictures were so beautiful, like you are in a other universe wonderful

  • @Babykiara92 Thanks for watching! :-) BTW, there is no version by Enya--anything labeled "Adiemus by Enya" is mislabeled, she never did this song. The other version of this song was also done by Miriam Stockley, accompanied by the Mary Carwe and the Adiemus Singers. This version is solo Miriam Stockley.

  • I always thought Enya sang this!

Miriam has such a lovely voice.

  • AWESOME !!!

  • this so is so freakin incredible.. It makes me feel so happy inside.

  • Its funny how so many people always gives credit to Enya for every new-age / chill-out song there is. If they cant find a name to the song, its Enya ! Come on folks.

  • Epic !!!

  • I Wanna Kill Those 7 People!! This IS AMAZING!

  • greaaaaaaaaaaaaaat :')

  • this is better than what enya does

  • This is so beautiful

  • Is this song featured in a movie?

  • Love iiit =]

  • Love iiit =]

  • Miriam always knows just how to sing a song so that it makes your spine tingle and your soul soar.

  • YES!! Hubble pictures, I'm in heaven.

  • Miriam is compared to Enya, and they have being independent artists in common.

That's where it ends. Miriam has South Africa in her blood, composes and sings in that idiom. One minute she sounds something like Enya. The next minute you are in Africa.

  • This song brings me to SO many different places in my mind.

  • have a look to CARMINA SLOVENICA version. You might like it as well.

  • This is oryginal version!!!!!!!!!!

    not enya

  • It seemed that five idiots were so awed that they missed the like button.

  • on which album is that song?

  • *~*~*~*Magnificent*~*~*~*

  • hey this song is really wonderfull

of course the best version is by mirima stockley

i fond her by a film named the 10th kingdon with the song wishing on a star

there is another version by enya, i now that because my mother shows me a cd fron enya with that song on it

    thank you for sharinv ^^

  • sounds very Avatar

  • beautiful!

  • The images are simply stunning and only enhance what has been for me a very mystical piece of music since it was released in 1995.......Unique yet raw, Miriam Stockley's vocals are distinctive-and synonymous with the collection of the 5CD collection unified by the theme.. 'Adiemus'. Beautiful work - thank you for posting!

  • @Trishanelle Thank you for the compliment, and you're welcome! :) And of course true thanks go to Miriam Stockley, for sharing her voice with the world. Check out her solo stuff, or her ongoing work with AOmusic.

  • I cant find this anywhere.. Only the one with Enya :-(

  • @Musavi1 Enya never recorded this song. If you see this song title done by Enya, it's mislabeled. It's always been done by Miriam Stockley (first version was done by the group Adiemus, featuring Miriam as the lead singer.)

  • True

  • There are several versions, all composed and conducted by Karl Jenkins and all of them perfrmed by Miriam Stockley with additional vocals Mary Carewe, there are different musical arrangements and edits, he used the London Philharmonic Orchestra in the original version (1995) and in the 4th album he formed the "Adiemus Orchestra"...

Enya has nothing to do with the Adiemus project, she has never performed this track in her life, maybe in the shower or in her car who knows !

  • So true!

  • @9Funk9 lol

  • Could be a nice track for avatar i like this movie and this sound of the song...5 stars ;)

  • thats exactly what i was thinking when i first heard it!

  • @MrNooes Except avatar SUCKS

  • this song has been performed by many artists Enya, Enigma, Miriam Stockley included.

  • @n0xangelus

By Enya? Where can I find it? And I don't mean the files on the Internet, which have been given the wrong title: Enya - Adiemus.

  • I honestly don't think this song has been professionally produced by Enya. I know many choirs have sung this song, but as for a professional recording, as far as I know only Karl Jenkins and his Adiemus singers and Miriam Stockley have done this

  • Comment removed

  • @prosperitycraft

That's exactly what I think. I was just being sarcastic, when I asked the question above. :)

I just hate finding files on the Internet which have been wrong titles because the person who uploaded them didn't care enough to check.

  • All the version in this song is genial ¡¡¡¡¡¡ and the images are beautiful and well worked¡¡¡¡ congratulation¡¡¡¡

  • Thanks! :)

  • Well... I have this song in my computer, but says Enya.

  • Nope, Enya has never sung this song--it's always been sung by Miriam Stockley

  • this song is the shit

  • Many thx for the sharing!

    Wonderful n Inspiring!

  • Defenitly the most beautiful version of this song. Miriam is awesome!

  • Thanks! I agree! :)

  • my goodness, for many many years i have been trying to identify this song! i even called radio stations to ask for the title. and tonight, totally accidentally, I come across it. a miracle :D !! thanks a lot for posting it!

  • please, where did you find this song?

    thanks a lot! ^^

  • It's from Miriam's album called "Eternal"--you can get the CD from her website, or from eBay, Amazon, CDBaby, etc. Or if you just want this one song, it's available on iTunes.

  • thank you! =D

  • Maigna and I are going to see the Aurora together. Who's in?

  • This is just what I need to inspire me! An artist thanks you!

  • Thank you! I agree that Miriam Stockley's music in very inspiring! :)

  • I can't recall when was the first or the last time I heard it, but I haven't heard this song for years till now. It sounds so beautiful... Great to hear it again :)

  • Wonderful music and a adorable made video.

  • Thank you!

  • Beautiful

  • I like her voice, peaceful

  • Is there another song with the same starting? i've been looking for a song similar to this one... but is not this one... T_T

  • yes it's the same one, called adiemus enya :D but it isn't done by enya :P only search on youtube

  • I use to watch the tales of benjamin button by Beatrix potter every time i visited my grandparents as a child, and i would always watch the credits because of Miriam Stockley´s song "Perfect Day". Of course I didn´t find out what the song was called or who sung it until recently, and i still get this wondrous nostalgic feeling when listening to it. And im so happy i found the song at last, because i also discovered Karl Jenkins as a result. Thank you for posting this song ;D

  • karl jenkins! that's it. not stephen.

hmm ok that sounds about right.

but i'm fairly sure enya sung it as well, later.

  • i thought enya sung this. and adiemus was the name of a song from a group of songs by stephen someone..

  • Nope, Enya has never sung this song.

Adiemus is the name of this song, as well as being the name of the singing group that sung this. Adiemus was created by Karl Jenkins; Miriam Stockley is the lead singer, with a Finnish choir called the Adiemus Singers backing her up.

  • What, a Finnish choir has something to do with this wonderful song???? Is that really true?? Are you sure??? :) Do you know something more about this choir?

  • Yeah the Adiemus Singers are a Finnish Choir. You can hear them on Adiemus V: Vocalise

  • @prosperitycraft

Actually, on the original Adiemus version, the Lead vocal is sung by Miriam Stockley and the 'chorus' is sung by Miriam Stockley & Mary Carewe.

The Finnish singers joined the Adiemus set up a few years later.

On this version, it is all Miriam Stockley - including the chorus! That is what she is known for!

You're right on one point - Enya has never recorded this!

  • @rgmalbcj youre right. the chorus is both of them dubbed over up to 40 times and changed in speed

  • i disccoverd miariam on you tube after listning to perfect day ,i didnt realise the diversity of her singing it is truely outstanding ,when you hear the rubbish on these tv manufactured talant shows ,this is real talant thankyou mirriam thank you oyu tube this is outstanding

  • Thanks for your comment, and I'm so glad that you've discovered Miriam! ;-) Yes, she is truly unique among vocalists! I have several other songs by her on my profile, as a sample of her diverse talent. :)

  • BEAUTIFUL, GREAT VIDEO :) :)

  • very nice pics and music

    good work!

  • Wow.

I barely managed to get that Wow out

    Speechless

    Tom in Utica NY

  • Thank you! I feel that "wow" just barely begins to describe Miriam Stockley's singing. ;)

  • i dont have any words for this song or video..

    its great :))

You can't help but to feel good while listening to this song.

  • Just simply beautiful...

  • Wonderful...Miram's latest work is on TWIRL by AOMUSIC...releasing worldwide 2/17/09. Search AOMUSIC or her name on Yahoo or Google for the full story...the CD is also on Amazon now!

  • Thanks for the comment, and for the advertisement for AO. :) I've got a couple of the songs from "Twirl" on my channel. :)

  • yes you're right ^^

He created everything so beautiful :)

  • What an incredible song... A masterpiece. Karl Jenkins is such an amazing composer and Miriam Stockley is such a awesome singer... Her perfect pitch and wide vocal range enabled Jenkins to use Miriam's voice in different tracks as harmonised instruments. Killer couple.

  • Thanks for watching, and thanks for your comment! Yes, Miriam and Karl made perfect music together; and if such a thing is possible, her solo stuff is even better ;)

  • amazing voice

  • Thanks, beautiful ...

  • beautiful!

  • Thank you! And thanks for your subscription!

  • Thanks for the invite too! :)

  • A calm song!!!!!!Nice!!!!!!

  • nice nice

  • everytime i here this music i get happy,

just like when im crying i just listen

    to this music

even though it has no language

i feel like the music is talking to me....

  • I am having my mind blown.

The pretty voiced girl from the end of the beatrix potter videos also sings the Adiemus song which I did in choir years ago???

    What on earth?!

Also, I love your editing of pictures to the song. Very nice.

  • Yes indeed, the same lady. ;) And check out some of my other videos--I have a small sampling of her wide variety of music!

And thanks for the compliment about my editing! :)

  • remember my childhood!

  • Thanx a lot for posting this alternative version. Curious is, that the chorus sounds very similar to the Adiemus version, while it's the styl on the verses and finale which is slight different.

  • Yes, it does sound similar to the original, but upon multiple listenings the differences become more and more apparent. One of the main differences is that Miriam re-did the orchestration, and in this one she does ALL of the voices, not just the lead. Thanks for commenting!

  • Liquid Beauty. ;)

  • wonderful video and music

    it restores hope in me

    thank you

  • Thank you! Yes, this song always gives me inspiration and joy every time I hear it. :)

  • this is even better than the original version!.

  • Thank you!

  • Can somebody help me out, where is the castle shown at appro 2: 54? Looks magnificent

  • The castle at 2:54 is the Rock of Cashel in Ireland. Huge castle, very unique in design, apparently--I had to Wiki it. :P I haven't been there, I just found the pic online. It's definitely on my list of places to visit, though. :)

  • she sounded like enya.. beautiful!

  • Thanks a lot for posting!

  • Excellent video! Beautifully created 5*+++

  • Thank you!

  • ist einer der geilesten lieder für gedenkopfer ! naja einer meiner familie war bei dem tsunami in asien vor ein paar jahren umgekommen! deswegen i love this song

  • awesome..im shocked...no more commnet!!!!

  • I ADORE THIS SONG!.

  • I like this video!!! Thanks for sharing it!
