The Moody Blues are one of the greatest bands ever to play music. They all seem to be very talented and as someone else commented, Justin Hayward seems to be an especially great guy. He seems so down to earth. They are a group of musicians who are not stuck on themselves.
Never realized that he is so eager to share his work. I've been watching videos for months and still haven't seen everything! Great video- he sounds wonderful
I think Justin and the people who listen to the Moody Blues are all a great bunch of people! I always read positive comments when I come to pages about the Moody Blues, which is a nice and refreshing change. I just love that guitar he is using for this performance.
Justin's voice is one of the best of all time. And he just seems so approachable, a person you could bump into on the street and strike up a conversation with. No ego.
A Great Interview...From a lengendary Song Writer, Like Lennon and the Beatles, The Moody Blues...and Justin Have A Following ...I love them....Days Of Future Passed, so many albums...research...the Moody's ....and learn the "lost cord".
justin is the most charismatic and talented vocalist and songwriter of all time.how lucky we are to be able to listen to and enjoy his videos on youtube.i heard nights in white satin at 17 and i still love him and the moodies now at 47.love and kisses teresa xxx,
This guy must be from the moon. I didn't think he could even reproduce the sound of Forever Autumn live, yet here he is, live, performing an acoustic version of it. I can't think of many current musicians who can touch this fellow in terms of musicality and presence. I only vaguely remember his music through my uncle, a biker, when I was a kid in the 70's. But man I'm enjoying discovering him again on the Youtube.
This is one of the most beautiful acoustic sets that I've seen Justin do in years. He has the most melodic, rich voice...and he's still gorgeous to boot. He is now, and always will be my favorite.
@MoodiesFan didn't Phil write The Town I Love So Well?you have to excuse me i'm from Holland ..don't know the Irish Classics...If He did ..Classic !!!
Blue Guitar was released in 1975. Justin and John Lodge actually worked together briefly calling themselves The Blue Jays and the lp was titled the same. Forever Autumn was released(I believe) in 1978. Justin was approached to write a song for the movie along with others, including David Essex and Jeff Lynne. Incidentally, there was a song from that Blue Jays lp called, "This Morning". It is probably my all-time favorite.
Two of my absolute favorite Moody Blues songs. Justin's voice is unmistakable.
