  • well angus young is way better than van halen in many ways

  • lmao angus young couldnt touch van halen when it comes to guitar playing.

  • i love it thank u so much now i get it by the way during a long time i did vibrato moving my finger only was working but not with your style.

  • cool vid thx

  • to me, there's no better vibrato than Malmsteen's, i also like Vai's vibrato, but noth that much.

Why nobody ever tell newbies how important this is? to me it's like the most important technique. You may not know how to do an arpeggio, or don't know how to use scales, but if you know how to do vibrato you can sound really cool =)

  • personally i am in love with marty friedmans vibrato

  • I don't know who he is... i'll check out.

  • andy larocque has a pretty fresh vibrato

  • no way angus young's is the best

  • What about Luca Turilli's?? xD

  • thanks

  • His technique is wrong.. wrap your thumb over the top!

  • agree ... it´s best to use your thumb as a pumping action, exactly but I think thats not always possible but I am still not sure about it ... and something that most forget to mention is that you don´t move the string by your finger or the muscles in the finger, the action actually comes from the muscles in your forearm, the finger is only grabs and holds the string with the strength that is needed for that movement

  • oh wow i never thought of that one before..

  • Dang i'm going to have to do something else now, my secret is out.. :(

  • i would say its notated like ~~~~ and that the vvvvvvv is an exaggerated vibrato. ive also seen vibrato notated by 3 /// through the note (rotated 90 degrees)

  • he says it correctly

  • this is a really newbie question, but do you have to move your whole hand? i usually just kind of pull the string down with whatever finger i'm using for the vibrato

  • Kinda late, but you want to use as many fingers as possible to get vibrato with, and lock them into place on the string. Use your wrist to push and get the vibrato.

  • yep - listen to "too rollin stoned - a tribute to robin trower" on youtube...that guys vib is nice...esp at about 2.01

  • pretty good lesson x)

  • lol good bu tnext time learn ur fingers lol that was hilarious!

  • Good!

  • Bend up with a vibrato on the note

  • Check out my videos, good lesson.

  • this guy's background in music is awesome!Buy his CD and book! Awesome double deal!

  • you made this video...didn't you

  • No!

  • or you know the person who did...

  • I have no idea Who made this video. I will say it again ..the guy has an awesome backgroud in music..check out his website.

  • cool lesson man, but you should bend up on the G string and maybe go a little wider! rock on

  • Give him one reason why he should even consider listening to your advice? Why do you presume to know more? I can bend the G string up or down.

  • oops i ment to say bend up on the b string! this guys vibrato is ok but gary moore, SRV and david gilmore have it nailed!

  • Thanks for the lesson! You're a good teacher,,,I've been trying to figure out vibrato for a while now.
