The best bottleneck steel slide player there is, is Missisippi Fred McDowell. But i got to give this guy some credit. Well played. Got goosebumps all over my fuckin body. Very well played.

I've owned both. Brass has no character to me. Steel all the way. Much more complex of a tone. Brass sounds dead. STEEL x 100 as far as republic goes.

I like the style. A headbangin' throw up voice coupled with strings from what sounds like a old time sequestered southern prison farm, a marching beat to keep straight and true in the chow line and a Louisiana jester hat.
Makes me want to do jack's daniels all night and rebel in the morning! YooooWhoooo!
