  • The best Doo-Wop song ever!!!!Listen to the vocals at 2:00.I listened to Doo-Wop since the '50's,but never heard this till about 5 or 6 years ago.

  • I LOVE YOU, I REALLY DO, MY DARLING CAN'T YOU SEE!!!

    FANTASTIC SONG

    PERFECT SONG ,

    VERY MUCH A CLASSIC

  • One of those great doowop songs I never managed to get a copy of. Thanks to you for posting, I can listen to it anytime I want.

  • I'd be hard-pressed to find anyone else who would say this, but at 62 years of age, this is STILL the best peice of music I've ever heard...

  • 1962 I was 12 years old and this song played off the charts on WABC New York with Cousin Brucie and 1010 WINS NY with Murry the K on the swinging Soiree, now in session as he would open the show. Great memories, great song.

  • Sounds so good!!!!!!!! so upbeat! love it!

  • I have always loved this song and like many other people I thought this was recorded in the 50's but it was actually recorded in 1962. While many people often think of the 50's when they think of DooWop but DooWop was still going strong in 1962 but waned with the coming of the surf sound and teh british invasion.

  • i wish i grew up in the 50s i bet times were so much simpler...

  • Thank god for 50s on 5 on XM radio

  • Wow!! Never heard of them before, but this is great!! A hidden "treasure" huh? thx 4 posting...phyllis

  • Doo-wop does NOT get any better than this -- I remember this recording so well from May, 1962...

  • Love this song,it is so 1960's. it gives that special feeling of the times. The early 60's from what my dad and mom said were really great. Good music, times, cars, clothing styles. JFK. Was a good time to grow up. I missed it I was born 4 years later in 66. oh well.

  • @sparkyspiers good comment, and your folks are 100% correct it was a great time even as a kid in the 1960,s,nothing was more important than fri and sat night when after work all week, you would meet up with your friends and go out, dancing, laughing and being silly/funny,walking home together, safe as well, yes your folks had the good times era thats 4 sure, cheer,s sydney down under!!!!!!!!!

  • @pooka5472

Thanks for that bit of info, its still a dynamite record no matter whos out front. I love uptempo Doowop songs, ALL Doowop in fact. Thanks again.

  • This is what uptempo doowop singin is all about, great background, boss harmony n a dynamite lead vocal, Virgil Johnson.

  • @patrickb5197 Actually, the lead singer is Ed Union, not Virgil Johnson.

  • I was to young then but i wondered what it would of been like in those days as a young adult, sitting in your 50's Chevy parked with your girl in a romantic place at night and hearing this song and other similar classics airing for the first time on AM radio, maybe its nostalgia speaking but the times then seemed to be exciting and a lot less complicated.

  • two words: awesome doowop

  • OLDIEZ BUT GOODIEZ AT ITZ FINEST RITE HERE!!!!

  • Doo Wop just doesn't get any better than this. One of the best doo wop songs ever.

  • One of the awesome sounds of 1962 and one of the best for sure. Riding down the Garden State Parkway, heading to Seaside in a '57 Ford, that's what it brings back to me. Too bad some of these groups never went further in their careers. They certainly would have deserved it.
