GWB doesn't enunciate clearly, which made it a little more difficult. But the rich variety of bushisms compensates for that. The organ music is from the intermission of M
@solimatt The GWB one was hard because he speaks quickly and doesn't enunciate clearly. But the rich variety of Bushims out there makes up for that. The music is the intermission song from Monty Python's "Holy Grail" which is where most of the quotes after the "and now for something completely different" break came from.
@706michaelwilliam Hi, yes, I removed the original PCB and replaced it with my own. Got some wave files and made up the choreography. It reads wave files and the movements from an SD card. mbed is an ARM powered microcontroller development board that made it all possible.
There is a kit coming! I promise! Watch this space...
It's all good. For anyonee who's interested, I did the firmware that plays wave files, and set up the choreography you see in the video clip. Dan is the one who made Billy twitterable. So there's plenty of credit to go around...
Nice Steve. Simpsons, Office Space, Holy Grail... you name it. Did you have to program the movements or does it automatically decode it from the audio file?
No, you have to choreograph the movements. Basically you play the wave file over and over in a wave editor zooming in on the samples and noting the time in ms where you want various body parts to move. That goes into a text file which is read along with the .wav file, and the body parts are moved at the appropriate time as the .wav file is played back.
A dongle is a software security device, they used to plug into the parallel port, nowadays they probably plug into USB. If the software that expects to find the dongle doesn't find it, then it won't run.
