  • Mmmmmm..........Forbidden donuut...*burps

  • Wonderful

  • Christmas gift 2011.

  • GWB doesn't enunciate clearly, which made it a little more difficult. But the rich variety of bushisms compensates for that. The organ music is from the intermission of M

  • lmao! the george bush one is my favorite.. and whats the song with the organ at the end?

  • @solimatt The GWB one was hard because he speaks quickly and doesn't enunciate clearly. But the rich variety of Bushims out there makes up for that. The music is the intermission song from Monty Python's "Holy Grail" which is where most of the quotes after the "and now for something completely different" break came from.

  • "You've got 2 empty halves of a coconut and you're bangin' 'em togetha!"

  • lol

  • Monty Python!!! Hell yeah

  • did you hack this billy bass

  • @706michaelwilliam

Yes he did. He uses the internet for the fish to have sound, and he programed the fish's movements.

  • @706michaelwilliam Hi, yes, I removed the original PCB and replaced it with my own. Got some wave files and made up the choreography. It reads wave files and the movements from an SD card. mbed is an ARM powered microcontroller development board that made it all possible.

There is a kit coming! I promise! Watch this space...

  • Billy bass quoting politicians..... There are no words to describe how win this is..

  • I WANT! Set it up for motion activation, LET THE FUN BEGIN!

  • Unfortunately hackaday stole your credit and gave it to me! Was all over the net before it was corrected. Sorry steve! - Dan R

  • It's all good. For anyonee who's interested, I did the firmware that plays wave files, and set up the choreography you see in the video clip. Dan is the one who made Billy twitterable. So there's plenty of credit to go around...

  • i want one!

  • HAHAHAHA, "Office Space" with the guy who's good with people! ;)

  • lol !! never heard about MBED before, but this funny video will make me look into it !

  • I want a Big Mouth Monty Python. Major improvement over original.

  • hahah

  • Nice Steve. Simpsons, Office Space, Holy Grail... you name it. Did you have to program the movements or does it automatically decode it from the audio file?

  • No, you have to choreograph the movements. Basically you play the wave file over and over in a wave editor zooming in on the samples and noting the time in ms where you want various body parts to move. That goes into a text file which is read along with the .wav file, and the body parts are moved at the appropriate time as the .wav file is played back.

  • What are dongles?

  • A dongle is a software security device, they used to plug into the parallel port, nowadays they probably plug into USB. If the software that expects to find the dongle doesn't find it, then it won't run.

  • That is great! Love the donuts.

Quite a change from engine management systems!!!!!

    Thanks!

    David

  • Jeeze, for this you get paid the big bucks! Got any openings?

  • Now that's bringing home the bacon. So proud of you and your work!
