I never really got the point of this show - there were absolutely NO dolls, toys, coloring books, or ANY product tie-ins whatsoever (except for the episodes themselves on VHS). It seemed like the perfect set-up for a line of dolls, but nothing ever surfaced. ALL the cartoons at this time were ultimately designed to sell toys. Weird.
@GimmeMOARRR Really? I had no idea. You're sure you're not thinking of the Swan's Crossings figures (basically a live-action show with the same concept as Beverly Hills Teens)? Time to start looking on eBay...
i remember watching this every afternoon back in 1988.thanks for posting this traveled back to my childhood for a second.i remember the song and everything.
Not easy being a teen in B.H. If you intend to be popular one of you parents have to be at the top of their celebrity with a positive public image. If your celeb parent flopps than so do you. Anyone can go to the Beverly Hills Public Library with enough parking money or there is 2 hr time limit on the streets. People are suddate and give each other space. Never saw anyone famous there but all the grammar you hear is perfect. Not ghetto.
when I was a kid I was obsessed with this and told my dad that when I grew up I wanted to be just like these girls. he thought it was cute until he actually saw an episode of this :|
Wow! Man do this bring back memories. I use to watch this before going to school along with Heathcliff, the Gobots, Bravestar, Silver Hawks...Even that cartoon where these human cops had mechanical body parts to them. That didn't last long and I can't remember the name of it. If anybody know what I'm talking about let me know cuz it's driving me nuts! Thanks for posting this!
I was 10 or 11 when this was on TV. It was alright if I wanted to watch cartoons and this was on, but it's not like I worshipped it. The theme song kept me watching.

As out of touch with common reality as this show was, I have to admit that it did capture my imagination. There was a time when I wanted my feces to smell like lavender. But then I realized that in order for one to merely stop his feces from stinking, a lot of time, effort, and stress are required to achieve and maintain it.
And besides, some people whose feces smell like lavender may not be the ideal friends or mates in the long run.
this was an 80s cartoon? i could have sworn this was 90s i thought this was created to cash in on the 90210 craze for the young kids unless 90210 was 80s also.

@TheOtherShmaltz There are sixty-five episodes all in one season, each thirty minutes long. As of today, Cookie Jar Entertainment, the owner of the series, currently has no plans to release the animated show on DVD at this time.
@DarkRavenII Yeah, I just looked that up. I only remember seeing 13 episodes on one channel. I do not think that the network I was watching showed any more.
@ kaffienpower: I used to do the exact same thing! I would have to RUN to the bus stop after it ended, and sometimes I didnt make it on time, Boy my mom wasn't happy with me at all, lol :)
you now what guys!? if you all love this serie just go on google search Beverly Hills Teens torrent and download all the series now! And if you love the theme make it like mobile thunes! Tumbs up if every one is agree with me! :)
Kinda wierd that overseas in Germany is when I watched this back around 1988-89. We had to rent it from a guy who had a rental store and got US videos sent to him weekly like this and Maxie's World. Oh the times we had ^^
The non-representational backgrounds are really freaking me out; they look like they came out of a bad late 70s/early 80s anime. And is it just me or did the chick at the end turn into an f''ing bride of Satan?

I used to love this show as a kid...but I was afraid to let my older brother know that I was enjoying a 'girls' cartoon'.
That 80s hair is so crazy.
