I'm surprised this show never gained a cult following, because it looked like it deserved it base just on the theme song alone!

Was this an Anime?  The character designs look a lot like Anime designs.

I never really got the point of this show - there were absolutely NO dolls, toys, coloring books, or ANY product tie-ins whatsoever (except for the episodes themselves on VHS). It seemed like the perfect set-up for a line of dolls, but nothing ever surfaced. ALL the cartoons at this time were ultimately designed to sell toys. Weird.

Anyone can go to the Beverly Hills Public Library with enough parking money or there is 2 hr time limit on the streets. People are suddate and give each other space. As out of touch with common reality as this show was, I have to admit that it did capture my imagination. There was a time when I wanted my feces to smell like lavender. But then I realized that in order for one to merely stop his feces from stinking, a lot of time, effort, and stress are required to achieve and maintain it.

And besides, some people whose feces smell like lavender may not be the ideal friends or mates in the long run.

This was a great cartoon series. I enjoyed watching every espisode. Does anyone know if they have been released on DVD? I am so fortunate to have grown up with this cartoon along with the original Speed Racers, Gigantor, Astro Boy and all of the classic. And lets not forget Scooby Doo.
