  • @chrisholliefield31 Fuckin hell get off ur high horse dude.

  • nice dude

  • A tank that big that relies on live rock and live SAND and you have a bare bottom tank?

WTF!!! Dude reef tanks look like shit without sand! and second your plumbing looks like total shit! Fucking swing joints and 45 degree angles? God damn dude, you put all that money into that tank and you can't take any pride in your work? What a fag

  • i like the way you set up the video! Good job! It kept me interested!!!

  • plumbing is messy

  • it needs more plumbing. lol!

  • Where is your live sand aswell?

  • Do you have a backup generator in case of a power outage?

  • you got that tank for free?????

  • looks like alot of money lol

  • that tank is no more, he has a starphire tank from GC as a replacement

  • ***** setup,how about an update???????

  • you know it takes a long time for a dead rock to become a live rock through seeding...

  • thats gonna look great when it grows int, but im not a fan of bare bottoms, well at least not in fish tanks ;)

  • was there gravel or sand on the bottom

  • Comment removed

  • this was very cool to watch, how long did it take you to build this and how is it doing now? are you going to do any more post of your tank? i like how you built a wall to hide everything, how do you clean it?

  • this is amazing! :D Well done ;D

  • cool, i liked the video at the end, very nice tank

  • loud*

  • Waaaaaaaaay too loub for my liking

  • well then post a video of your ultra quiet homemade aquarium setup.

  • lol gfu

  • sure thing man

  • Nice tank and vid but you could have put some music behind it or something to listen to.

  • why did they give u a free tank?

  • its 2 loud

  • What kind of wrasse is that?

  • is a 200 gallon tank usually supposed to take up that much space???

  • must i say overboard....

  • Nice build, If it were me I would have a sand bed but I know it isn't needed rely. How much was the costs of your build, i'm sure stuff like the Skimmer and a chiller would have costs more than your tank. I plan on doing a 250 gallon custom build soon

  • nice vid write up!

  • the tank is great. doesn't the noise bother you?

  • That's awesome!

  • You need to get some substrate on the base of the tank, firstly it is un-natural and secondly you will find that you fish will be more at home, obviously there are other benefits. Looks good though

  • It looks great, you might consider some sand though it would look cool in the tank but well done, I love all the Acropora you have!

  • Very nice. What was your time from start to video? How do you keep it cool, do you have a chiller?

  • how much did you spend?

  • i want one now

  • I would like to find a free 200g tank! Looks nice.

  • I'm jealous! I got a solid 55 tank with no drill holes in them...... I just have a fluval and a skimmer...

  • Not at all overstocked with that filtration behind the wall. Not to mention that beautiful skimmer! Nice!

    Fantastic setup. Great work.

  • Dude, way overstocked with fish, but very nice setup, not so sure the foxface is reef friendly though and could use some more substrate, or maybe I just couldn't see the amount

  • 1. Its not overstocked.

    2. Foxface are reef safe if well fed.

    3. Substrate is not necessary.

  • Didn't know that about the fox face, thanks for the info, do you know anyway to re scape a reef aquarium with encrusting corals already grown on the rock?

  • If its well established i wouldnt reccomend it. although if neccessarry i would break apart the rocks with corals on them so none are damaged, also remove all livestock into buckets with heaters.

  • Ive been doing my research for a 150 gal Im planning for in the near future. Can you tell me what the pipes are for in the back?(never seen a design like that) And also did you build your refugium yourself or customize anything in it? (if you built it was it worth it and how much $ did you save)??? Hard work paid off - amazing tank.

  • the pipes at the back are for surface skimming im not even a reef kepper and i know that

  • Is there an ACTUAL reef keeper that knows for sure??? Im really lookin for a response from the owner not just some guy lol.

  • m8 just 2 let u know i have been reserching marines 4 about 8 months as you should. i would recomend goin an looking at commercial tank this should help you

  • What the pipes on the back? They are his overflows and yes they do do some surface skimming. It's not usually a good idea to plumb it without overflow boxes though. The strainers clog fast, even with 4 of them.

  • that was great. i love start to current. gives alittle something to the viewer! thanks for sharing. come check out my tank on a site called reefbuzz

  • neat verry nice done!!

  • How come theirs no sand?(or maybe i didnt see it)

  • Looks like a lot of work but payed off. I would like something like that in the future. Good luck.

  • where did you get that black trimming around the top of your tank....and by the way great job man really really cool...;)

  • tank is awesome but you need to put a couch facing the tank or somethign thatd just be godly id sit there all night

  • wow my tank doesn't compare and i thought mine looked pretty spiffy

  • gret reef project total cost if u dont mind?

  • I am looking to build my own tank i want a 5000 gal tank and want to do it myself so i can get exactly what i want do u have a direction u can point me for supplies

  • sounds loud

  • jesus that is a big reef

  • dude thts one awesome tank

  • great job I love it

  • simply amazing. the rock work in that is unbelievable! I wish i could put something together like that without it tumbling down.

  • you deserve an award mate. keep it grinding!

  • do you have live sand? in there?

  • Wow, that is a nice aquarium. I'm guessing you have had a lot of experience with smaller aquariums before building that one. I would like to have a nice aquarium but it looks like a lot of work. That will keep the fish happy though.
