This is a great game, although I do think that XD is better. The story in Colosseum is darker than XD, but you can't catch wild pokemon like you can in XD. And there's a lot more places to go in XD. Colosseum is a great game for fans of pokemon games and I would definitely recommend it, but if you can, get XD instead since it has more locations, different shadow attacks, and the ability to catch wild pokemon.

I remember pre ordering my copy when i was about 11 and I have to say that I thought this game was awesome! Only now do I realize that it wasn't as good as I had made it out to be.

Not to be offensive or anything, jamescorck, and I can't really say anything since I don't do reviews myself, but when you do a review of a game, usually you would show what you would be talking about. For example, when you were talking about multiplayer with the GBA games, you would show the GBA game connect with Pokemon Colosseum.

The concept for the game was a lot of fun, as was the start of the game, but charatcer development and plot fell through. Plus the ending just sucks - there is no real ending!

This game was a total trash, I wouldn't recommend anyone playing this game, The game play >:( repetitive, music is awful, and really disappointing that you can't catch wild pokemon (wild pokemon).

I REALLY hated this game when I first got it, because... well probably because it wasn`t what I expected and seems a little slow and repetitive...

imo this game isn't anywhere near as good as the Stadium Games on N64, in the Stadium games the battle system was awesome, the scope of the tournaments was epic, and so were the music and animations of the pokemon, Colosseum majorly watered down all the tournaments and none of the music and battle animations felt epic or had a "oh shit that move's gonna kill me" feel to it.

I would go for this game rather than XD, because this one is a bit more stream lined. I also don't know why, but I find the combat in Colosseum faster than in XD, but that's just how I feel about it.

This was my 2nd gamecube game.This is an all time Pokemon classic video game.I still play this game sometimes.Also, if you get this and after playing, get Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness,then you will know that Pokemon XD is a just as cool sequel of Pokemon colliseum.

this game is TERIBBLE!! why are people saying its sooooo good!? i mean lets look at the pros and cons (good and bad)

pros:

NOTHING!!!!! (literaly theres nothing good i can think about)

cons (this is a big list)

only trainer battles

very easy battles

when its finaly a harder battle its impossible

you have to fight with shadow pokemon alot to turn them into a normal pokemon

and this is the biggest con of all

Although, I think some of those are the same reasons why some people like the game, like me for example. I liked the dark pokémon concept and the challenge of difficult battles.

What I hated of the game was the villains. They all look like fucking douchebags!

Hehe, Pokemon Colosseum was very good, but Gale of Darkness is even better!

IMO, id give Colosseum 7.5/10 and Gale of Darkness 9/10.

I love the battle stages, or colosseums whatever you wanna call them, in this game, they looked wawesome for the time, and they really fucked that up in PBR

Things like the big ceeling fan in the underground colosseum and the forest around the time statue thing made the game come to life, but pbr just seriously disapointed me.

Yeah I like Colosseum more because you played in a city socialzed with people and stuff but you know they are slowly improving I mean in revolution you can finally make your own trainer but it lacked the free roam fromthe GC versions.

well there is 4 non shadow pokemon in that game the espeon and umbreon you start with, a plusle you get from dunking, and your reward for completing the game is a ho-oh

If you have a Wii and you want to use your DS Pokémon, I recomend Battle Revolution better.

Can you play with your gameboy as a controller on the wii?

You can use your GBA on the Wii to transfer Pokémon from Ruby and Saphire, but you can't use it as a controller but on the Battle mode I think. I am not too sure about that, I should check it out.

Colosseum is awesome, I should recomend you get that one.

But Gale of Darkness is also a very good game, I am starting to play it to review it later on, and so far it's pretty damn good.

I say, it doesn't matter which one you take, you are buying a very good Pokémon game, which is fully RPG and in 3D.

You start with Eevee in Pokemon Gale of Darkness, as for Squirtle, I am not sure but I think it is not in the first Colosseum.
